4-1!! What a beauty from Albrighton
4-2. I've got to be honest our defence looks as poor as it has been. Schmeichel rushing off his line, Morgan really awful for that goal as well.
Delighted to be 4 goals up, attack has been great but I'm concerned at the back
I find it hard to believe that he did not see Morgan was being carried at the end of last season.

Aries, have you noticed I've not suggested you'll go down this season? You must admit now that Irvine was a clown and Ideye was gamble that didn't pay off?
You've made some good signings and your squad is a lot better now. I think plenty of teams will finish below you his season too but I do believe we won't be one and I don't intend to be wrong twice 👍😉
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. You didn't have to tell us Irvine was a clown, we knew that already, but you know we have to back the manager at the start of the season.
2. Brown Ideye isn't a gamble that hasn't paid off yet, he can still come good. If we sign this Salomon Rondon from Zenit St Petersburg, it'll be Victor Anichebe who'll be on his way out, not Brown Ideye,
3. You haven't written us off this season because we're not going down. I do remember though Black Starr having us "nailed on" (quote, unquote) for relegation last season.
4. Remains to be seen where our respective teams finish, but if we get the results we'll deserve to stay up - obviously.
Aries, that was at the beginning of last season under Alan Irvine, so slightly unfair to bring that quote up after you signed Pulis, because If you'd had him from the beginning, you wouldn't have been nailed on for relegation.
Surely no west brom fan would make the argument that you could have survived with Irvine. He was terrible...

Agreed.
Once benalouane and Fuchs came on we looked much better, but that's also because the formation changed. To be honest CR will have been delighted at the attacking play but I imagine very concerned at what he saw today from both Kasper and Morgan.
I wasn't impressed with the second at all, very poor.
Yep second half will give CR enough to think about...
Being Italian he will be fuming about giving those goals away cos to be honest Sunderland didn't deserve them!

Black Starr, I have to say to you as well that every Albion fan knew from the get-go that Irvine was a hopeless appointment, and by December we knew if he stayed we were down. However, we also knew that if we got shot of him and got a decent manager in, we easily had the players to keep us in the PL, and so it proved.
I am on record on JA606 last August as soon as Pulis walked out on Crystal Palace before a ball was kicked last season that Albion should sack Irvine immediately and appoint Pulis.
So, when you made your prediction, did you factor in a possible change of head coach? Whatever, we'll let you off.
Dont start me on flappy bird Kasper another who was covered by three at the back last season
We lost the second half 1-2, I thought they would come at us but? He needs to go back and watch the tapes of the last 10 games.Who cares if he puts out Person's defence? It worked Tinkerman. Anyway, we won and are top of the league!!!!
lets not forget brill performance today great win well done
Great start to the season
Some of our play was a joy to watch.
Mahrez and Vardy were superb, very impressed with Okazaki, and boy his work rate matches Vardy.
Drinkwater had a good game too.
Very happy.
I think it's far easier to sort out problems at the back than up front. A new goalkeeper and a couple of decent defenders, bingo, but try buying good attacking players and a goal-scoring forward - far more difficult. As long as Leicester keep creating chances, you'll be ok.
Oh and of course Albrighton. How could I forget him.
I have to say that attacking wise we look brilliant. Okazaki is great, Mahrez was on fire, vardy great, no concerns there at all. Granted Sunderlands defence was abysmal and QPR aside that's the worst team ive watched us play at home for a long time, but that was partly down to the pressure we put them under.
Defensively CR has some headaches, because if we were playing a better side we would have been in trouble. Kasper was hopeless today, positioning all over the place and could have cost us 2 goals. Morgan also needs to be dropped, benalouane much quicker and more aware. Fuchs very impressive and composed
Aries, I should have factored in that Irvine would be so terrible that you would sack him.
You're right, defence is easier to sort, we have the players in benalouane and Fuchs and also we need to remember that Cambiasso isn't protecting the back 4. We missed his presence defensively today. That will change if we can get an experienced DM
Aries I remember saying before the season started that you were going down unless you got rid of Irvine and got Pulis 😉
Yeah the defence was the only disappointing aspect of what was a very good day.
Kasper pulled off two great saves early doors but his kicking got us into trouble at times and everything else has been mentioned.
Really disappointed that Fletcher won that header too. Yeah I think Huth, Benalaoune and Fuchs will be the back three very soon.
BS, while we don't have Cambiasso, we do have Kante to sit in front of the defence.
