Having a player available for sale and having a buyer for that player are two entirely different things
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Very true. If only some of the users of this site would realise this, then the fewer hysterical rants we would have to put up with.
-----------------------
If you're a player and the manager says I am selling you, the player doesn't say "I am not going" I've never known it.
--------------------------------------
I'm sure there's been loads. They probably don't get the publicity because there's no deal done.
Are you aware that earlier in his career, Harry did sell Crouch ??
-----------------------------------------------------------
How horrible of Redknapp to sell Crouch from relegated Southampton to Liverpool, I bet Crouch was gutted and has hated Redknapp ever since.
Forgetting the reasons behind the lack of a sale, be it Crouch doesn't want to go or Harry doesn't want to sell - I think most fans want Crouch gone (well at least most I talk to) so don't know why diamond lights is getting such a hard time
Kranjcar and Modric centre midfield was suicidal
--------------------------------------------------------------------
So what should it have been oh Mr Knowledgeable One ?
Didn't we want to sell Berbatov to City? How did that one work out?
He's always been rubbish, and I've always said so, though some have always stuck up for him, goodness knows why
This epitomises him and is still funny

He did well at the weekend for us Berbatov.

a lot of people were surprised to see those two in centre midfield against a strong City side.
Livermore may not be a great footballer but he made more tackles in 15 mins than Modric and Kranjcar did in 130mins
Crouch is a professional footballer..
Diamond Lights is a poster on a website!
Spurcat - clearly modric and Krancjar was not the way to go yesterday. How we DARED go into a game where the opposition have nasri silva and aguero in attacking midfield without anyone resembling a DM, or at least can get around and put a tackle in (Livermore) or have a bit of presence (Huddlestone) is beyond me.
Hudd was fit enough to play 45 so why not start him?
Nonsense team selection as far as i am concerned yesterday
Diamond Lights.
Are you Jose Mourinho?
He did well at the weekend for us Berbatov.
-----------------------------------------------------
You mean he didn't sign for City in the end after we'd received an acceptable offer from them? How could that happen?
A lot of people playing devil's advocate here!!

Wasn't that Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino??
Just Al Pacino, no? Wasn't Keanu the innocent victim?
dunno, didn't really understand that film - think I was when I watched it

If you're a footballer and the manager says I no longer have a place for you, you won't be in the 25 squad, you won't play, Stoke have offered £8 million we've accepted it, trust me the player will move.
Berbatov would have agreed a contract long before we accepted Utd's offer or City bidding for him.
I preferred them in Matrix Pt II
"I'm gonna make him a Morpheus he can't refuse"
Based on a book by Andrew Neiderman, the film centers on a young lawyer who joins a New York firm only to discover that his boss has an increasingly bizarre personality.

So why are you bloody moaning then ??
we havent got enough outfield players
im a f====== football manager, not a f======= magician
sensing a bit of tension. we need to send chrnoic in to the board room with a few spiffs.
Diamond - My point once again is that just because City made an offer to Spurs which was acceptable to us he didn't end up going there. It must have been down to his choice. I'm not saying if a manager wants rid of a player he won't eventually go but it will be partly down to the player. They're not chattels.
As another example before Crouch came to us he was going to Sunderland. He decided where he went, not Portsmouth. Its been in all the papers and involved some FA bloke who got involved in the change of direction. It happens and neither Portsmouth nor Sunderland were happy, in that instance.
I don't know if this is sinking in but I'm not going to explain it any more.
