Benzema would not have won us the game yesterday. He would be welcome of course. People are overreacting to yesterday, terrible performance but let's see how we react first.

He is too loyal. He isn't stubborn towards critics.
His team choices are based on the players he likes.
He is the ONLY top manager who does this.
Mourinho doesn't care about his players feelings. He doesn't care where they WANT to play.
He just sets his team up based on the opposition.
Look at how he treats players who won't toe the line like Mata. Look at how ruthlessly he treated Felipe Luis who didn't live up to standards. He doesn't get attached to players and that is to the benefit of his teams.
Same with Fergie.
Wenger needs to stop thinking he's these players' father.
He doesn't care where they WANT to play

Neither does Wenger really. Played Ozil out left, Welbeck not as a striker, Ramsey out right.

I understand what your saying so I should revise my point.
He keeps shifting players from position to position even though he has witnessed previously failures in doing so.
And he allows our players to drift from their positions during games. Which is why our wide players end up all playing CAM.

There is an arguement for both approaches though. You can be too ruthless like Mourinho and get rid of world class players like Mata. Also Wenger is generally loved by his players whilst Mourinho makes enemies everywhere.
Then again being more ruthless has its advantages too

I really feel we need to understand the real weakness instead of seeking a positive reaction against CPFC next week. I believe we will beat them, but that does not mean the weakness is gone because if Arsenal can't get Benzema, then we should be harder to beat every game, which was not the case yesterday.
I didn't see aggression, concentration, desire, and tactical awarness in our game.
Benzema would've put away a couple chances yesterday that Giroud squandered.
On the off note, I'd always thought Lacazette and Arsenal would be perfect for each other.
OP
I thought buying Cech was going to turn Arsenal into a title winning side.

No one said that and if i was you i would be more worried about Spurs living under shadow of us forever. Only one team will open the BPL season with an own goal.
You don't throw money at Real Madrid. Do you think that Real Madrid need our money?

Every team will make a decison when a player near at the age of 30. Benzema could only offer 3/4 years at the top, so their best option is sell him now, or prepare the worst scenario of selling him under £20m for next year so on.

They are €500m in debt and the Spanish government have turned off the tap.
Tbh I don't think wenger has got it in him to win the league again.
