TIM REAM

Ream will probably be sold, its just a case of how much gartside can screw out of Fulham or qpr. I think 2m will be a fair price. He has no pace and is very lightweight. Can easily be brushed off the ball or easily beat in the air too. Need to get away from the likes of mills, wheater, ream no pace and defenders who cannot turn. Derik and prince seem to be different quicker defenders, something lennon has identified as lacking in Boltons defence last season.. would go and sign a back up left back, striker, keeper and kevin nolan.

I maybe in the minority here but I don't think we are going to be able to find better than him for the money currently being offered. And I'm not a fan of the idea of selling our most consistent player over the last two seasons.
Would rather offload some of the many centre midfielders such as trotter, be it out on loan for the season or permanently.

Who says?

Another interested party will hopefully ramp the price up.

We can't have other teams thinking they can make paltry* offers just becuase we have debt. It's not like the fire sale of the early 00's now.

(* = Though if Dangerous Darren gets involved in transfer dealings then poultry offers may be accepted.)

Lightweight agree, not great in the are but the one thing he does have is pace. He was voted the fans player of the year for a reason.

We need him at full back we have adequate cover at centre back with Prince, Derik, Dervite and Wheater.

If he is sold then hopefully Lennon will be able to get two players in for the same wages.

£2,000,000 isn't enough but he will probably go for that or less . We are dealing with Gartside here.

Just shrug your shoulders smile and await the inevitable. Kindly refrain from dreaming of spending any proceeds on the type of known proven player you may think we need.

Would Ream be interested in going? Do either or both Fulham and QPR represent a better prospect of the top flight? Would life in London be a draw? Does he prefer CB or LB and would he get to play at CB for them?

How much do Norwich want for gary hooper. If its £2m sell ream.

We'll need more that £2 mil if Hooper is going for £2mil.

What with wages, and other fees and that.

Plus we bought Ream for £2.3 mil and anything less is a loss.

Personally I'd only sell him for over £3million and only to a Premier League club or foreign side. Then invest most of it into replacements.

I don't think there's a chance of us actually paying a transfer fee for anyone if Ream is sold.

It will be used for a couple of loans or free transfers. I'm also not confident that all the fee will be given to Lennon....

One other sticking point is Ream. If he doesn't ask for a transfer, his contract needs paying up by us, or at least some of it..

Some websites suggest QPR made an offer weeks ago. In which case, I'm annoyed we didn't gamble and get ALF back, knowing some money would eventually come our way. The forwards at the moment offer me no confidence that we will better last season.

Minus CYL, ALF and Bannan, we lack complete quality from players we had at various times last season.

Don't forget the clock is ticking on the deadline for buying back the title to the bit of car park used in a recent emergency funding deal.

The deal will cover just about half so we need to raise a similar amount before the ticking clock chimes.

According to sky its £1.4m. Should be looking for £3m minimum. Another loss made on a player. Its just a joke the way the club is run.

£1.4m is a joke.

£2m according to the Bolton News. Still not enough.

Where would we be now if Gartside had never been involved with the club?

posted on 13/8/15

£1.4 million could be the up front fee and could feature add ons at a later time dependent on appearances or promotions, (which is no guarantee so I dislike).

I'm waiting on the official resonance from either side of the transfer to properly comment rather than those pesky "Sky Sources".

As Benny as already said we seem happy selling players at a loss ,
And yet they say Vela & Clough are not for sale!!!!
Well not till the right offer comes in, and it won't have to be very big offer if P.G. As anything to do with it.
Just wave £5mil under his nose for both players and watch him snatch there hand off.

The fans zone is to be renamed The Departure Lounge a place where players up for sale may rest and await their fate with bags packed ready to go.

All players to report to The Departure Lounge following morning training sessions.

I think this board could buy one of our squad players the way it's going.

I've currently got £17.74 on me.

Who do we want?

Lennon on £1.4m for Ream: "It's more than that, and there are add-ons. It's not entirely agreed but I expect it will."

From Lennon's press conference today.

Not being funny pasty but if it's not the full pack of biscuits then I don't think we'll be doing a deal.

I think originally they were throwing in an "expensive parker pen" as part of the deal but Phil, being the transfer negotiator he is, noticed it was that free one Michael Parkinson sends you in his life insurance scam advert.

(actually that's going to be the basis of my next diary entry don't be surprised to see that line soon)

Who's next out of the door? Trading club my ar$e. The idea is to buy low, sell high not buy high, sell low, lose on a free. If i worked like that in my job i would be sacked. Ffs. I'm lost for words i really am.

I've got it
By 'eck a great big flash and it came to me I know what is going down how stupid and thick of me not to realise it before.

We all missed the importance of the new shiny flashing thing. It is the improved model isn't it ? Well that model is fully capable of displaying Vanarama National League North unlike the old one with its limitations.

I'm afraid we are off to oblivion for many years to come it can not carry on aiming for the rich league in our current state. We knew deep down we might as well sit back enjoy the ride down and the struggles getting back on the up escalator. In a similar style to last time but more restricted with a tighter noose around the club.

Those lucky to survive the long ride and see a great club again will at least have a nice display board to look at.

Have fun be happy any way you can and enjoy the ride. Look on the bright side a day of reckoning will one day come for one culprit a day when we shall party in every square around town.
