He is a deep sea diver?

I agree, though, he picked that team as he obviously wanted to give himself the way chance of avoiding an embarrassing defeat (😫) when he could've have stuck a few youngsters in with something to prove. I feel sure they wouldn't have performed as poorly as some of the senior players?

I'm thinking auld Dougie is making it up as he goes along, he's now saying last nights defeat has altered his priorities for his reduced transfer plans. I swear he hasn't a clue and seems to change no matter which way the wind blows. Cant see anything but another managerial upheaval looming for the umpteenth time under Spaswaz. Total mess!

Full backs look completely lost, not at the races at all. Mancienne is not a midfielder, nor is he a full back, let him Mill and Hobbs compete for the centre half berths. Vaughan looks finished, Lansbury wants out, Tesche is banjaxed (add to all the others), so midfield is as sparse as it gets. Dougie is fixated with defence which is odd considering he was a striker, far too negative with one up front constantly.

He also clearly is reluctant to use youth players and completely wasted the last 6 or 7 games last season by not blooding the youngsters. Add to this the mess Fawaz has created behind the scenes and its all just a big recipe for disaster looking like its going to come to a head this season!!!! Who knows where it'll go but Fawaz might want to consider running the club bunker style as he's only a few more defeats away from outright chaos, all of his own making!!

To be fair there were some bolton fans that were saying Dougie was tactically clueless when he was appointed. He started off well but ended up being a disaster, he would have taken them down in my opinion and Lennon has done a better job with the same limited resources.

Best thing for forest would be for fawaz to throw his toys out the pram again and sack freedman. The problem with that is, while ever fawaz is determined to interfere in first team affairs and transfer policy, no reputable manager will work for him.

In many ways, that's why I can see Dougie staying for the long haul, because he's so nice he probably has no problem with fawaz picking the team if he wants to

Have to agree with Len. Its a total farce. Freedman has had all the preseason friendlies to get to grips with the likes of Fox and Wilson and only now has woken up to, what we have all known for ages, they are crap.

It's clear we need a Leader on the pitch, this guy is not my favourite person but would really give us what we are lacking, problem is 10k per week is pr obably spending money to him, Joey Barton, currently bout of work, would he be worth a shout ?? To put this into context Jamie Ward was not my favourite either, but I believe his attitude will win me and a lot of others over.

We have only played 2 games! We were ok against Brighton. Dunno what DF was doing last night and it wasn't great. Although we almost got ourselves out of it. But being knocked out in the first round doesn't mean our season is a shambles!

I am not saying we are heading for a great season but let's at least wait a bit longer before going into meltdown!

Apparently we've cocked up that left backs international clearance

I would take him right now. He is a quality manager and won't be out of work long. He was ambushed by the media at Fester IMO. Don't think he would want to work under Fawaz though.

Pearson is exactly what you guys need but if you appointed him it would last for 2 weeks at best. He won't work under someone like Fawaz, he has to be completely hands on and controlling every aspect of team selection, transfer policy and recruitment etc.

I would think he will be angling for another shot at the Prem too, likely with Sunderland when that job becomes available.

The problem for forest is freedman and Pearce represent the kind of managers the club can realistically get with Fawaz running it......

Also, Pearson does have an element of billy Davis about him. He wasn't really ambushed by the media at Leicester, he's just incredibly difficult to interview and lashes out when under pressure.

I think they all piled on when he started to get a bit tetchy with them and tried to pile on the pressure. Think the club could've supported him more maybe or were they courting Ranieri a while ago?.
Agree he would not like the way Fawaz does things and also agree that Fawaz's ways will be well known within football circles and not many managers will fancy working for him and have their reputations tarnished!
