Did you go see my cousin?
I've got the MBox, Kodi is just an app on it amongst others
As for the quality. There are some brilliant streams like NBC sports but the best thing is unlike streaming through your laptop you don't need to remove 20000 adverts over the top that open up new pages.

You don't need a box. it'll run on any spare computer, laptop, tablet or phone. I've had it running on an old tablet for a few years now with an hdmi cable to tv and an app on phone to control it. Its basically an app linking to streaming sites at its core. The benefits as murney says are that it bypasses all the faffing about with adverts etc....
I have an m8 box with kodi. Some quality streams ie sports movies etc all in hd.
Well worth buying although you can buy cheaper on eBay or Amazon
Firestick on Amazon is worth a look too
do you get BT Europe on it ?

Yes. Can be hit and miss though just like all streams. Watched a game on it the other night and it stopped working with ten mins to go.

What addon do you use ?
Joe I got this box about 9/10 months ago. Works a treat, all the movies, all the box sets and most importantly all of the live sports in HD. I did have some slight issues but that was down to me not really looking, or knowing where to look on the box to get the most out of it. As I said though it now works a treat and im chuffed with it

Ive read somewhere about changing the program on the box to Fusion, but ive no idea why that is better or how to go about it. Is fusion better? Im really happy with the box as it is and I don't wanna make a bollix of it
What I wanna know is how you get all the films and stuff for free. Surely the servers eventually can't cope with all the boxes sold?

Fusion is good mate. However there are other builds like wookie that have everything pre loaded
Is it wireless or do you need a ethernet cable to connect it to your router ?
and what happens when you have kids and the mrs all feeding off the wifi and youre trying to watch a game ?
does it buffer ?
Do you still get buffering?
A1 there seems to be different types of these boxes. Some you need a satellite and you pay an annual subscription to use the servers others you don't. No techy so haven't a clue. Mine was a once off payment, just connect the box to your broadband and away you go.
CT, if you've decent broadband and connect by ethernet there's no disruption, well virtually none.
I had heard of dodgy Amazon fire sticks with all the stuff loaded and sports etc But wasn't sure if it was the kind of thing a bug buys for £60 then it stops working a week later?

I bought my firestick from Amazon. It wasn't loaded but it's easy to load yourself. Some rip off merchants charging £100 for a loaded firestick takes 10 mins to do yourself
Its all free. If you are being charged you are being ripped off. The software is all free to download, the only thing you might pay for is a box to run it off but if you have any spare technology lying about it could most likely run on that.
In terms of add ons I mostly use genisis for movies and tv shows. For sports i use a variety. Mostly vdubt25 though as its been the most reliable recently.
CT I'll tell you about it later
The amazon firestick is apparently easier to use but all the box is is a basic android box that is loaded with apps that can be modified.
the best for sports right now isn't Kodi it's Modbro.

Just last weekend I watched all the GAA on Sky plus the the Celtic, Arsenal and Liverpool games without amy bother. Also got the quarabag game on Azerbaijan tv through it.
How will wookie etc improve it? Sorry mate I haven't a clue I just know it works really well now
