timmy your wind ups are awful

Only pointing out the facts that your board has let you down.

No point taking it out on me because you missed out. Blame your board. I mean, didn't king say he had to build a team to challenge Celtic the now so they can try and stop ten in a row?

I do think if Rangers had offered £750,000 or so they would have got him but he's not worth that by any means and Rangers were spot on in their valuation of him so it's not really they're fault.

If it does happen, the only thing it does do is make all those Rangers fans in the away end at Easter Road look a bit silly

In Fairness they weren't going to sell him.

Then Stubbs said he'd quit if they did sell him, then they got humped off dumbarton... well played hibs, well played

Fair play to you for your honesty. All I've seen is celtic fans telling us we were penny pinching and our bids were insulting.

I've said from day one my valuation of him mate, I'm not happy with what we are paying in this deal, Henderson is a player with more ability and far greater potential.

It just doesn't make sense to me, however, like I said on another thread, I'll trust Delia in his thinking

Rangers put a value on him given the circumstances of his contract, hibs refused to deal with Rangers, that is their right, Rangers cannot put a value on him them triple it because hibs refuse to deal with us.

Warburton has in mind the type of player he wants at the club, young talented hungry players who want to play for Rangers, Allan has fallen short on one of them, we move on for players who want to be at Rangers

Unfortunately Laudo he does want to be at Rangers, Stubbs is the reason he isn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he wants to be at Rangers he can be, all he does is the same as any player in the last year of his contract, head down, we speak in January

Laudrup
hes worth what ever someone will pay, is sterling worth 49million ??
If hes as good as the press have been claiming 500k to 750k would be reasonable
but I get your point 300k for a second division player is reasonable I would say

and you are a bit harsh on him in your second paragraph, professional footballers have a very short window to make their cash 14 years. Don't berate the boy (bhoy?) for signing for the cash and the exposure he will get with us

complete re writing of history re brown

Rangers had a deal in principle agreed with hibs for 3 million

when celtic offered 4.4, they were obviously going to accept it and asked Rangers if they wanted to match it

we rightly said no and no to paying broon 25k a week which celtic offered him and still pay him and more to this day

He's a young Father, he can't take risks with his future like that! One poor tackle and boom he's out for season out of contract.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So no player lets his contract wind down in its last year if they are a young father

He is entitled to go for the big bucks, he is clearly not right for us.
I hope the Rangers board learn from us and stop putting money into Scottish clubs because it happens time and again, it's been happening for decades where the selling club says they will not sell to Rangers, take the money elsewhere

So is it only guys like Danny Wilson who has the confidence to say I'm not signing I want to weigh up my options, isn't he a young father

Not saying it doesn't happen, but it would be a sensible choice to get long term security wrapped up as quick as they can.

Obviously he could still wait it out and sign for a club in January but it'd take a determined individual to do this.

allan was on about 20k a week at west brom, its no as if he's destitute

Determined individual?! Nonsense, he is a staunch Rangers man, he will never sign for Celtic, Parkhead gives him the boak

Don't be daft, Laudrup. Entirely different situation. Wilson was able to decide his future there and then. Allan would be taking a risk as he cannot get any contract signed until at least January if he waits for Rangers.

And let's get this straight; this is nothing like the Scott Brown scenario and Rangers have played this right and cannot be accused of penny pinching. Hibs have said they would not sell to Rangers. Okay, if Rangers had offered silly money, they may have relented, but he is not deemed worth it.

Scott Allan is not the be all and end all of Rangers ambitions. In a few days we will have forgotten about him. Onwards and upwards with players who want to be at Rangers right now.

Allan is not a bitter boy, he never has been but it will certainly take a lot for him to sign on the dotted line today.

He has verbally agreed the terms, the contract will be put in front of him later today

Aesop, what if Scott Allan says No which is very likely. That means he definitely wants to be at Rangers.
