Flamini going isn't a bad thing but I doubt anyone would come in to replace him. Not at least until Jan at the very earliest. It's just a touch annoying that Inler's allegedly off to Leicester for 3m after all the attempts we (again, allegedly) made to get him...
This is a direct quote regarding Flamini from Wenger
" Iexpect him to be here in September. I spoke to him. At the moment he is not involved but he has no intention of leaving. He will be involved at some stage. He works very hard and his intention is to stay."
We have made one signing this season and that a goalkeeper.
We came 3rd last season. Does Wenger really think by standing still we will get 1st place?
flamini ended our trophy drought single handedly
Released from Milan, rewarded with a three year pension at Arsenal.
Farcical!
Don’t get the issue with Flamini. Didn’t he see out and honour his Arsenal contract prior signing for Milan?
Cannot think of any other profession in which an employee, after fulfilling their contractual obligations to their employer, is subsequently reviled for doing so.
To bring him back on a free was a decent bit of business, and I gather his influence in the dressing room is immeasurable.
If Flamini leaves we sign a midfielder

for that price we should have snapped him better than Flamini
Flamini has never lost a game at the Emirates

What do you expect Wenger to say? The fact that he said Flamini is not involved says it all really (he is not injured/sick etc). Yes, Flamini is merely fulfilling the terms of his contract, but he should leave nonetheless! I can't believe he is earning 60K a week just to help fill up the practice numbers during training sessions.........
Good player for us on the whole. Great attitude and passion for the team. But after the first season since his return, his ability seems to have dramatically dropped. Which is a shame, but that's just how it goes. We really must offload him, and bring in an upgrade.
I've been saying all summer, I think to improve this squad, at least 1 or 2 of, rosicky, arteta, and flamini have to be sold. Flamini is clearly the worse of the 3. I like the other 2 as players, but are just a bit to old and injury prone to be relied upon. If we could get in younger more reliable replacements, our squad would be much stronger.
If arteta and rosicky could stay fit for the season, it's less of a problem. But that doesn't seem like it will happen.
Wenger hinted he may stay. Awful news, even if we don't replace him we need him gone!
He's a massive hinderance, a poor player and forever be a snake.
I'd rather give Bielik valuable experience. Can't be any worse
Why do so many Arsenal fans hang on each and every word AW expresses publically?
Hasn’t anyone noticed that over the last 20 odd years, what AW says and does, when relating to his dealings in the transfer market/squad, are not always comparable???
But he's good mates with Ozil and we have to keep Ozil happy

Yep, made a decent living from Bosmans.
Would be a major achievement that a club to receives a fee for him.
Flamini left Arsenal on a free at the end of his contract, and was brought back for nothing.
Clubs are more than happy to release players without sentimentality, so why do some fans expect comprehensive loyalty from players.
flaminis never been sold due to clubs never wanting him to leave
