I'd have gladly taken 4 points from the first two games before the season started. Wouldn't have expected it to be this way round but hey that's football.

Next few games will be really tough but we're good on the counter and the defence was solid today so it might actually play into our hands

We have real power & pace in attack and it was good to see it at its best. Really big season for Barkley hope he manages to kick on, hopefully not playing for the under 21's and having a rest this summer will help him.

If we keep off Barkleys back I think he'll kick on,the poor kid was still getting grief last week even after scoring that beauty of a goal. I actually felt like smacking some of our fans last season,this lad was scared to try anything due to the abuse he'd receive if it failed,he was drained of confidence.

I think some fans forget he is still such a young player, to be fair last year he didn't seem to push on with his development in fact I would say he got worse. All part & parcel of a developing player.

Agreed alas, home games have no advantage these days the crowd at times have been awful

Agreed. Some of our fans are very quick to get on the backs of players.

Naismith, Ossie, Kone, Barkley have all felt the wrath of the fickle GP few.

I would have taken four points and not in the way we did. But Watford were well up for it and today showed how we played the first season under Bobby.....the man with no plan B

Bad day for Southampton or a good day for us? We need to string these performances in a row together before I will gain some confidence. Hopefully we can.

Southampton weren't bad, our defence just absorbed their attacks really well. We were also very good on the counter although admittedly Southampton's defence is not a patch on last years
