The price of Stones has just gone up to £40m me thinks.

I dont understand this article...coming into a shocking side against the best attacking team in the league? what do you expect him to do?

posted on 16/8/15

The point of this article is that Chelsea fans have been saying the best thing for John Stones development is to sit on the bench and watch Terry.

However Terry was awful today and Zouma who was on the bench was equally poor

in short Chelsea fans don't know much about developing players

If Stones has any sence he will stay at Everton or levr for a club who know how to develop young talent.

None, the issue has always been with how the Chelsea PR team leaked the bid to the press and had current players tell stones that he should join.

But as Jose said, there will be no second bid for him

Shortly after we rejected a second bid. Keep up son

I honestly don't understand what stones brings over zouma, or even any Chelsea academy player. He has one of the highest individual number of errors since 2013 and has been injury prone. Young and English equals big money.

I will refer to my earlier point. Why did the special one, Jose, sell Luiz and then want to buy an expensive player who doesn't possess the same qualities as Zouma and Luiz?

Surely Jose can't be that stupid and unable to see the talent he already had?

So why the persuit of Stones.

Ball again is in your court

If Stones didn't have a bright future ahead of him you wouldn't be so keen on keeping him. We also need English talent .

In terms of development and the claim he would not learn at Chelsea that's ridiculous. How can a defender of his experience not learn from a defence with one of the best records in recent years.

It hurts when teams take your best players for sure. Imagine the stick you would be getting if the Internet and forums were around 30 to 40 years ago.

Jose to splash £100m on Pogba and Stones.....

Surprised that Juve would let Pogba go for just £50m to be honest

The numbers vary from report to report. I doubt Chelsea have given out numbers it's just the media speculating on what he owning clubs will release for.

He had, we trumped the better funded and resourced Chelsea and all the other clubs to secure his signature. You however didn't see the irony in the post

Plus we paid the asking price Barnsely wanted and never used current players to try and persuade him to move

Well good for you, but the irony is clear for me.

The noise is there around any transfer, it's inevitable especially when a club doesn't want to sell. We have been there ourselves in the past.

I can understand your annoyance but the indignity or holier than thou attitude is laughable.

posted on 21/8/15

Holier than thou, not at all.

Just pointing out that we never used underhand tactics to try and force a player/unsettle a player. However in this case Chelsea have once again showed the lack of class that United showed in their persuit of Baines and Fellaini.

In that case the club held out when the press said Baines wanted to move etc....

The deal for Fellaini was done to secure McCarthy, a much better player in the opinion of all matchday blues

From your perspective every signing you have ever made will be clean and fair to all. Was you so accepting of United's pursuit of Moyes? It didn't seem that way at the time, or Rooney for that matter

posted on 21/8/15

Martinez confirms NO transfer request has been made

Moyes did the dirty on Everton, he didn't sign a new deal so we were not due any compensation. Roooney put in a request for transfer, something Stones hasn't

posted on 21/8/15

What is laughable is ththe assertion by Chelsea fans that because we have engaged in a transfer deals previously that we can't complain about their behaviour in this case.
Show me one transfer where we've leaked information on bids to the press on an almost daily basis.
Show me a transfer where we've spoken about the player in press conferences to say he should leave.
Show me a transfer where we've wheeled out players to do the same?
Show me a transfer where we have the press reporting every day that the player's club are holding out for a certain price despite that club publicly repeating the player is not for sale many times.

Show us any of this and we might accept your laughable comments that we can't really complain about Chelsea's conduct here.
