Bolton have handed a trial to defender Courtney Meppen-Walter, who has been transfer listed by Carlisle United.
OK, that's two defenders. One to sign the other on trial. What about a goalscorer?

I looked at the article yesterday and thought that he might be worth a punt.
Silva's goal record isn't exciting me but we will have Thomas there just in case. Wouldn't he have to be registered as a squad player?
