If we get Rodallega in return then sure. I'm not saying he is the striker we are looking for but at the moment I'd take him over Crouch.

id have a rugby second rower,we have the height, can jump, maybe even get the header on target and we are a damn lot heavier than crouch. Guess my point is everybody atm is better than crouch......but sorry babe his wife is fitter

i would up up for offering gds plus 5 mill for rodellaga.

not a great striker but young and hungry. that will do

I'd take Rodellaga. For something in the region of what you said Chronic. It'd probably mean the end of one of our 3 present strikers but he's better than them all.

Rodellaga is the type of striker we would be happy to take in the days when we were content with finishing 7th or 8th. I do agree he probably has more hunger than our present strike force, but if we did buy him, then in about 6 months or so, we'd all be screaming for his head. Not a practical solution imo.

Spurcat...

Rodellaga is not great but I see him as most certainly an upgrade on Pav, and probably an upgrade on Defoe too.

I am not crying out for it, but I think he would relish the step up, a bit like Palacios did at first....... we all know what happened with Palacios but when he first came he was a beast.

Chronic - I would prefer we bought a striker for the next few years rather than the next few months. Rodellaga would probably solve a problem in the short term, but in the long term, he is not a positive move forward.,

Spurcat. In my opinion long term purchases should have been made earlier in the window. At this stage, our options are drastically cut down, and I think we as a club have to look short term. Simply because I think that no CL this season and we are in trouble as far as holding onto players goes, and also I think the club will go through a transition phase next season when surely we will have a change in manager.

My point being, that I dont see how we can effectively plan for the long term at this stage.

Leandro might be a long term signing but I dont see him coming in before January, thats if we get him at all

I think we are all getting too used to saying one for the future. We need a player for the 'now'. Inter are apparantly buying Forlan and he will probably be a big success there. Yet when he was mentioned on here everyone says no too old no re-sale value.

Spend some of the CL money on an established striker even if he is 30 or thereabouts and try move up the table into the top 4 again.

I dont mean about Rodallega there btw dont get me wrong I mean an established top striker who we can get 2/3 good years out of.

Jason Scotland scored this weekend..... Now thaats a player in form

Chronic, I'm no scout for Spurs. I just think our 'sell on value' tactic is not the way to go right now. We should have money from our recent success.

hope you arte well mate?!

agreed Rodellga, would hardly put bums on seats would it?!

if we are serious in about getting in the CL again then we need to be aiming a lot higher!.

some of the names linked are a joke!. Joe Cole, Benyoun, Bellamy and tonight i hear Owen Hargreeves, i despair i really do........

surely by now we have come to realise that we wont be signing a top top striker (no cl, cant afford wages)

surely by now we have come to realise that we wont be signing a top striker (wages)

so i am struggling to see what options we have apart from go for a no name off the continent and hope, or go for someone already in the prem who we hope is young and hungry.

i am not saying i would love rodellaga. i dont even think hes that good. but he would cause defenders more problems than pav. and if we are trying to offload gds to wigan then we should try and sort out something there.

it wont happen anyway

why cant we go for someone like Pappis Cisse? The lad was on fire last season. Hes started this season with goals too. 4 in 3 i think it is so far in Germany. Spurs can surely get him hes on form he would be taking a step up but can he seriousy be worse than what we have?

I dont see how that signing would be any different to Rodellaga. Both are a risk but Rodellaga at least has scored goals in the prem.

Is it true that the goons have just signed Santos??

no corpses are wosre... on the reason they dont move.......
hang on but they are cheaper than crouch.

Chronic they have been linked all of a sudden to a Brazilian defender wow strengthen were they are week .... how about that Idea Daniel & Harry.

posted on 29/8/11

Aren't we getting close to that point in the season when a certain Ramos was kicked out for "2 points from 8 games Harry"?
Getting scary,isn't it?
