I'd just about call him a footballer, let alone a defender.
MUFC have faced Belgian opposition 3 times at Old Trafford:
> Won 3
> Scored 18 (conceded 1)
> 3 hat-tricks (Taylor, Viollet, Cole)
No wanting to tempt fate, but if Smalling got injured, would we have both Carrick and Blind at CB, or would we see Darmian play there?
would have thought this would be a good chance for Rojo to get match-fitness.
In any case, we should be able to beat Brugge easily even if Carrick and Blind for example was our centre back combination.

oh yeah, completely forgot Darmian can play CB
So we will score 6 today and either concede 1 or keep a clean sheet. I wonder who scores the hat-trick.
I think Rojo will be in the squad for the Newcastle game.
Brugge have 9 first team players out injured, we really need to finish this tie off tonight. No excuses.

Good feeling about tonight. Rooney gonna be added to the hat-trick list.
Brugge are a decent side. Put 5 past Besiktas last season. Victor Vazquez is their dangerman. Came from Barca.
We should win tonight. But if Rooney has an off night and they grab a goal, who knows.
Club Brugge line-up: Bruzzese, Duarte, Cools, De Bock, Mechele, Bolingoli Mbombo, Simons(C), Vázquez, Vormer, Diaby, Dierckx
Dave, indeed, over 2.5 was the one I did. In a treble with Liverpool (won) and Lazio/Bayer over 1.5 goals.
Simons has been a great player for Brugge but he turns 39 in December! We need to dominate their midfield which I feel we'll do.
Think UTD will hit 3 tonight. We'll hold it together!
(baby hold together..)
Eh? They've got a 38 year old playing for them?

Yeah, their captain Simons.
Didn't know that, surprised it hasn't been mentioned either.
Out for Brugge are:
Felipe Gedoz: Brazilian winger out since the end of last season.
Thomas Meunier: Argueably our best player, right back and Belgian international. Provides attacking surges from the defence, but also out since may.
Bjorn Engels: Best defender in the team, young Belgian with a high ceiling, but has missed almost the entire last season, and its becoming worrying to see him struggle with injuries that halt his progress.
Lior Refaelov: Again, one of the stars of the team. Israeli right winger, out with a fracture.
José Izquierdo: Colombian winger, probably the most exciting player on the team. Has the brightest future of them all, you will hear from him in the future, anyway, also out.

Brugge fans bouncing and singing already. They've brought quite a few by the looks of things.

He's a DM so i'd like to see Memphis running at him.
18 players and only one is a CB... worrying
Well Rooney is playing like he's 38, so it kinda balances itself out...
