Imo, stop carzorla and you stop arsenal

That's why people don't listen to you.

Loco by name loco by nature.

Well it doesn't hurt.

Basically we need to defend our box very well and then take two chances at least.

Won't be easy but I reckon the players be up for it. Score first and we have a great chance. They've an awful lot more experience than us though.

Carzorla makes em tick, hes the catalyst for me. Sure sanchez is quality, but carzorla plays right in mf where he can dictate the game. Get milner on him, negate him and exploit their back line with benteke and coutinho.

Sanchez?

Despite GB's inability to spell Santi's name correctly, he is right about how important Santi is to our team, especially when played along with Coquelin.

Would also like Walcott to start against you guys

"Stop carzorla and you stop arsenal, I think he is the key for them"
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How did you reach this conclusion?

You could say that about Özil, maybe Sanchez, they're Arsenal's key players.

Ozil makes us tick offensively, both Arsenal & Germany struggle to dominate teams & create chances without him. If Ozil's not on form, it inhibits Sanchez & Ramsey getting the ball in dangerous areas.

I think Jurgen Klopp put it well in Nov 2014, “Mesut Ozil - nobody wants him when he plays, everybody needs him when he doesn’t play."

If Cazorla is given too much attention, it will probably create space for others.

Maybe I'm wrong, but br has a full week to prepare the team and as a result I think we will get battered.

If you rate him so highly, why can't you spell his name?

Jtr......Arsenal do have the potential to batter teams, but id like to think that after 2 clean sheets and w wins confidence is high and we can make a positive statement at the emirates.

Maybe I should just call him santi

G-B, I will always admire your unbounded optimism friend and support you till the death, but after only two games - we should have lost the second, be honest - Arsenal showed in their game against Palace they are way in front of us especially with their very quick pass and move. Us? How many times have we passed, back and forth, back and forth, no penetration, going nowhere, fast?
Remember another team, season before last, played or tried to play the opposition off the park, scared the life out of the world and his dog. Attack, attack, attack. Almost won the PL. played at Anfield for half the season. Remember them?

100% agree, hit the nail on the head there!

Bloody MNF this weekends going to be annoying

Our key player is Coquelin. Without him Santi wouldn't do what he does with so much freedom

Sanchez is Arsenal's only truly class player.

If he's quiet there are point(s) available.

Shouldn't Coquelin have walked after the second challenge?

To be fair Jimmy, Arsenal were hardly stellar at the weekend, and Palace looked like the English Barcelona for a spell.

And it's all very well to talk of how we played two years ago, but without Luis Suarez, that's very difficult.

While I do think Coquelin is good, and will go on to be very good, at the moment he's a red card waiting to happen. Lucky at the weekend, you can't afford a repeat performance this.

Not sure I understand the negativity about the Bournemouth game , we had all the real chances and with some better finishing could have been 3 or 4 . Ok they played some decent football , but weren't really threatening .

It was the shaky last 20 to 30 minutes. Always sticks in the mind moreso than if we were wobbly early on and dominant toward the end.

Points are available anyway. Football is a game of fine margins. If teams defend well & take their chances, there's always a chance of a good result.

But Özil isn't truly class?

He's world-class.

It's not often he has one but GB has a point about stopping Cazorla get on the ball. However there's other players to worry about even if we stop him. Ramsey drops in between midfield and defence so somebody will have to be picking him up, for example.

I agree he's a red card waiting to happen but ibstill stand by the point he is our most important player. Whem he does eventually get this inevitable red card I guarantee we won't look the same team in our next few games while he's suspended. We don't have anyone else in the squad who does what he does.

I think we all get arsenal have a decent mf, but im not and never have been concerned by ozil in the red of arsenal, same for this coq fella, previous poster was right hes a red card waiting. Reminds me of frimpong a bit in his recklessness.

I am fascinated by this game, I want to see if we for once can play an intelligent game at the emirates and just drop of a touch and hit on the break. We do have the players and pace for that.

Personally id start with can in mf and although ibe had a poor game vs Bournemouth, id be tempted to play him and use his pace. Moreno maybe an option too, he looked fit when he played although it was vs a tiring side in the end.
