Makes sense tbh. Benzema is not Suarez to carry team on his shoulder or to win us PL or CL. Hope we don't spend any silly money on him.

25+25 on 2 players is a good option.

A slightly better version of Walcott, not sure he'd be worth £25m to us.

Great player (Aubameyang) but can't see AFC being interested. For the fee, (£30m+) he is far too similar to what we have.

I normally moan when AW says there is not much about that wil lenhamce the team... but I think he is right...

all the players that would improve the team are basically at clubs the size of or bigger than Arsenal.

Not much about at all really..... thats why I think AW wil ljust stick with what we have.

Never been a Giroud basher, but I cannot see us getting through the season with just him up front. We need an Aguero type player, but as mentioned, there are not many around that would come to Arsenal.

Will Theo get a chance up top??

Hes got a good frame to him think hes 6ft2 so could play up front by himself for us.

Plus there's a song that's just begging to be made into a chant for him.

Although I suppose there is a risk of unintended racist interpretation.

He's leagues ahead of Walcott. He was Dortmunds only shining light last season, dragged them from the pits of a relegation battle.

Recent comments by Clinton N'jie show us that Wenger is still in the market for a forward. Just at a more affordable price level.

Which further suggests Dortmund would be unwilling to sell (to anyone).

The Lyon lad who's just signed for Spurs. Went out of his way to say how he was always going to choose them over us.

He's a good player. Not leagues ahead of Walcott, probably a better player yes but not worth £25m more than Walcott

He's a good player but I much rather go for Benzema. His link up play is as good as anyone and it's needed for our style of play. He may not be in same category as Aguero or Suarez, but on his day he is. I feel Benzema needs to be the star man of a team to really show his worth. What better way to show it than at Arsenal.

To be honest every player that signs for Spurs says that to get on the good side of the fans. Its must be written in the contract that they must say these words upon signing.

Pierre just signed an extension with Dortmund.
Not going to happen.

Why people cant rate just our own players is beyond me. Aubameyang is not better than Walcott ffs and thankfully has just signed a new contract at Dortmund.

posted on 20/8/15

thats all very well, and its probably not going to happen as its not been suggested as far as I know, I just used him as an example.

That said, an extension these days means very little, so I would not necessarily see that as a barrier.

Taller version of Walcott. We can't even accomodate one Walcott in the team currently. Why get another one in especially as Theo is staying? Aubemeyang would have made sense if Theo refused to sign

Scored two tonight in a 4-3 win over Odd.

They ain't selling him.
