"McLaren's engine partner Honda have produced an upgraded power-unit for this weekend and F1 boss Yasuhisa Arai claimed it would put them level on performance with the Ferrari engine.
That raised some eyebrows up and down the paddock, and as suspected Arai's claims turned out to be wildly optimistic. "

Hemilton is the most worthless, undeserving, talentless, rude, ungrateful, disrespectful driver of all time. He's a shameful mark on F1 history.
McLaren are well and truly buried! Go through all my posts and you will see my foresight come to pass. I now hear McLaren might not afford Button's salary next year. Its safe to say McLaren is not a midfield team but a solid back-marker.
You are a sad, strange, pathetic little twerp and I hope the admins do right by this website and not only ban your account but ban your IP address so that you can never come back.

I heard he dances with devils too
Jenson Button is the worst signing for Mclaren ever!!! One pole in 6 years, nothing more. Took Mclaren all the way to the middle of the grid even when it had the Mercedes engine. Contrast that with Hamilton, over 30 poles in 6 years, 26 wins, 1 title, never worse than 4th in the championship. Even when Mclaren produced their worst ever car with the Mercedes engine in 2009, still got 4 poles and wins. If Jenson has any class, he would do the honorable thing and fall on his sword after what he's done to the team!
Ok, let's look at Hamilton's statistics in the time that he and Button were team-mates.
Poles - 7 (out of nearly 60 races, hardly something to brag about)
Wins - 10 (vs Button's 8, again hardly a domination)
Best Championship finish - 4th (Button's best was 2nd)
And I can't help but laugh at your hypocrisy when talking about car quality.
Why is it that you place responsibility for the 2009 car entirely on McLaren's shoulders but claim that the 2014 and 2015 cars are entirely Button's fault?
And while we're at it, let's take a look at Sebastian Vettel's achievements over the last 6 years.
Wins - 36
Poles - 40
Points - 1653
World Titles - 4
It's amazing what having a faster car then everyone else's can do for you.
Hamilton has been the best driver in qualifying this season, he has really put in some outstanding laps to get pole after pole. A worthy champion, and I don't think anyone can argue with that.

Utterly pathetic, do you call Button's lucky tyre gambles wins?? I do not recall a single race which Button won without Lewis having a problem with the car! Did you conveniently decide to forget about 2012 where Lewis had countless number of retirements whilst in the lead, Lewis was wiping the floor with Button, whilst Button was mixing it with the Caterhams, forever complaining about balance and understeer. Only Whitmarsh spared Button the blushes with his shenanigans and they both deserve to be kicked out of McLaren! These slimy two got what they deserve, karma came full circle.
To Button and Whitmarsh:
"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

--------------------------------------------------
Hungary 2006 - although I seriously doubt you know anything about this as you've clearly not seen a single F1 race prior to 2007.
China 2010
Canada 2011 - retired after a collision, no mechanical trouble.
Hungary 2011
Japan 2011 - Hamilton messed his own race up by smashing into Massa for the umpteenth time
Australia 2012 - Hamilton messed up his own start procedure
Belgium 2012 - Chose not to go with Button's setup and Grosjean made him pay for it
And that hypocrisy I mentioned earlier is showing again.
You're so quick to condemn Button when he was hampered by car trouble in 2012 (yet still took 3 wins and a pole) but you constantly make excuses for Hamilton when he was consistently shooting himself in the foot a year earlier.
And how dare you call Button slimy when Hamilton had the gall to throw the race card at the FIA when they called him out on his bullschitt driving?
And you call me pathetic.
Trebs,
I'm not disputing that Hamilton is a great driver, probably the best of this generation.
What I'm trying to dispute is this idiot's pointless crusade against the one driver who has actually given him a decent fight as a teammate.
Here you are again arguing with the pretend Hamilton fan
To quote Dr. Sheldon Cooper...
"How else are they going to learn?"
He is not interested in learning
Hamilton was better than Button during their years together at McLaren, and is an all round better driver for sure.
Button is a good driver, but is not a great driver like an Alonso or a Hamilton. He's had some very good days and a decent career, a former world champion. But in the future, he won't be remembered.
Having said that, to say Hamilton destroyed Button or words to that effect during their time as teammates is ridiculous. Without having the stats to hand, Hamilton scored better overall and I would guess had more wins, poles. Hamilton was better, but Button was competitive. It wasn't like the Alonso and Massa situation at Ferrari.

Although I've considered myself more of a Button fan than a Hamilton fan, this is exactly my thoughts.
There's no denying that Hamilton is the better driver but it is being infuriating when people say that Button is an "undeserving world champion" or that he deserves to be stuck in a car that makes Marussia look like Ferrari.
It's got even more frustrating recently as people are now claiming that Button hasn't won a single race on merit.
Nobody flukes 15 wins and THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN UNDESERVING WORLD CHAMPION!!!
