Also was interesting to see Ramires to be found nowhere near the bench yesterday and there wasn't any news about injuries.

I don't know if this transfer will go through but it's likely seeing the 3 players that Juventus have been linked to of us were not involved in our game yesterday. I know that Cuadrado will be joining them on loan today with an option to buy, but no Ramires or Oscar who they have been continuley linked with all summer is very surprising.

Oscar is injured. Him and Moses were mentioned in the pregame to carry injuries. Ramires not even being on the bench was surprising.

I still thing its highly improbable. They have already sold Vidal and Pirlo has left. If Pogba leaves, then thats the entire midfield from last year.

Deal 90% done with Oscar and Ramires going the other way

Cuad will have medicals at Turin today, €1.5m loan fee with an option of €24m to complete the transfer agreed at the end of the season.

We've seen stranger things have happened in the past, so, let's see.

I don't want Oscar to be part of any deal, just think that we are going to regret selling him, especially if the player himself doesn't want to leave the club.

You rarely see player swap deals, it just a figment of the imagination.

Ramires is okay, dont want Oscar to go.

If we want to play 3 in the middle, then Oscar is the perfect replacement for Cesc and can also play on the wing.

Cuadrado and one of Ramires/Mikel makes sense

Why would pogba come to us over juve though. Seems bizarre

Nick there are many reasons why !! e.g Money being one the main factors

Surely he's getting a good pay already? Listen don't get me wrong were a great destination for all players. But juve were champions league finalists...we were dross

Probably because it was a one off (like Atletico) and they have also sold/left their best players, so the possibility of repeating it looks remote.

Good point! We will see

I think winning the Title what is it 3/4 times in a row and a Champ league final is about as good as it gets for Juve.

Hopefully we wants a new challange/new league.

Still think he will end up at Barca though

I just hope we get this done soon. I normally hate the idea of us spending more than about £30 million and the only time we did so was when we bought Torres.

But this transfer is the exception to the rule. Pogba will improve us enormously and with doubts over the Cesc - Matic CM partnership we definitely need to bring in a top class CM this window if we are serious about winning one of the big two trophies this season.

Pay whatever it takes to get this transfer done because at 22 Pogba has many excellent years ahead of him and would be our best signing in years alongside Hazard.

A midfield three of Pogba-Matic-Cesc would be the best in the world. Would be amazing if this happened.

Excited with this transfer and can see this going through. Juve lost last day and looking at their midfield apart from Pogba its youngsters. Pogba sale will raise them enough money and in addition get two players (Cuardado & Ramires). Hope we don't sell Oscar.

Some wishful thinking going on here

Brumm - Nothing wrong with having ambitions, that's the first step towards setting tasks and follow them through, in order to achieving our goals

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it

Just don't be too disappointed when it doesn't happen!!!

Not a chance in my opinion.

Brummie I don't think anyone should expect this to happen but to have some quiet optimism about it is reasonable at this stage.

Both Ramires and Cuadrado were left out of the match day squad at the weekend and both were fit as far as I'm aware. That definitely corroborates with media reports that Cuadrado and/or Ramires might be heading to Juve as part of the deal.

Pogba did play against Udinese at the weekend though so we'll have to see what happens this week.

Who would have thought we'd sign Pedro a day before we did? This may turn out to be the transfer window of huge surprises if we're able to land Pogba as well.

TBH Superb, if we're prepared to pay £30/40m for Stones, I'd much rather we abandoned that and put all that money in for Pogba.

I feel we're much more needy in CM than defence and imagine him in tandem with Matic!

Brummie I totally agree. The problem area is CM and most of us are well aware of it.

Neither Cesc or Matic have started the season well at all and our backup to them isn't good enough.

We have plenty of good options at CB, especially when you consider that Brana is basically by trade a CB as well.

Next summer will be the window to bring in a new CB in my opinion.

By next season Kalas or Christensen might be considered good enough for the first team squad anyway - and in all honesty I don't see that much in Stones to justify the money being banded around for him.

Hearing that we have dropped interest in Stones. I guess then this is moving more positively.
