That was Wayne Rooney's first goal for Manchester United since April (vs. Aston Villa). 878 minutes of action.

Hafi?
Why do people get so angry on here? Rooney scoring clearly ruining their evening no doubt.

Quite a few on here would have groaned when he scored.

Hey statman Hafi, when was the last time we scored from a corner in the Champions League then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Vidic v Bayern, 2014 QF 1st leg. Not too difficult. I'm sure Hafi didn't feel the need to post that fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was trying to rattle his stats - brain
Shaw is playing well again... I.like that he can power through a couple of players when he drive into the middle

Adnan needs to play wide. He's out of his depth in the middle as there's not enough space.
Van Gaal's lineups are facking stupid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For me it just needs a simple switch with Mata.
I heard LVG thinks Mata is lightweight and is more prone to losing the ball in a challenge, and that he'd prefer if he did that out wide. If thats the case, then surely its the same case for Januzaj?
Yeah, Shaw has been improving this season so far. I'm happy for the lad. He's got great potential.

Problem is, it's Adnans movements out wide that allow Depay so much space coming inside.

Rooney gets some decent service and he scores. What a surprise. Hopefully he gets another tonight and it kick-starts his season.

Job done for Manchester United so far but it hasn't been particularly convincing. Keeper Sergio Romero has only had to make one save but there are one or two concerns regarding the bigger picture. Wayne Rooney has got his goal but they haven't created too much going forward. If you're playing against better teams United could find themselves three or four down.

I just focus more on bitter people like him then stats these days.
Agreed, Barf.
Shaw's started the season very well. If he's not starting for England in the qualifiers I'll be very surprised.

Most people know this Elvis. Rooney is limited in that he won't often make goals on his own like an Aguero or Messi, but when it comes to finishing he's as good as any.
Right 2nd half is about to start...And Schweinsteiger on for Januzaj.
Lol Hafi!
Ps: anyone else 'enjoying' their American adverts?

Hodgson: 'Joe Gomez has been very impressive for Liverpool. He's absolutely played himself into contention for a place in the squad. Maybe even a starting place. I'd go as far to say he's the number 1 English left back right now, because of his move to Liverpool. I've also been impressed with James Milner. And Danny Ings.'
