Arsenal supporters. Tough crowd.
We're gonna smash it on deadline day, relax OP you only have 4 days to go to not give yourself a heart attack. Deadline day deals are actually better and more exciting (Arshavin, Ozil and most of all Welbeck) so you should really be thanking Arsene... so ungrateful
Fack off you idiot. Hope we sign players on deadline day but regardless Wenger hasn't identified our weaknesses and addressed productively.
The man truly thought this crop were strong enough anything that happens now is a result of panic. That's my biggest concern
Our problems are obvious and every man and his dog bar Wenger can see them
Looks to me as if he decided while ago to wait until last day or so try get some good deals in. He always says he gets deals early on or late in the window. I think he's definitely trying to get players in. But is willing to take the risk to take it to last day. I don't think he'll be overly concerned if we get no one though. I won't be surprised either way, if we get a big singing in, or get no one.
I will particularly enjoy refreshing 20 browser pages over the 3 day weekend ahead of Tuesday. I wonder who we'll parachute into the squad to face Barcelona and Roma in a few weeks.
Other than Ozil and Arshavin Wengers deadline signings have been Awful. Arteta and Mertesacker are ok but others include Benayoun, Welbeck, Santos, Kalstrom and Park chu young
We don’t have £200m to spend on transfers. Check the club accounts. It’s public information.
We were after Benzema. He didn’t join us (a smaller club). Unless the OP hadn’t noticed the best /world class players, also happen to play for the wealthiest clubs in the world.
AFC cannot simply afford to write off tens of millions by paying double or treble market value in the same way some others can.
Does anybody on here live in a bin outside the Emerates? If so, can we have an update on any activity in the vicinity ?

Oh another classic I forgot: Our slow start is due to the national tournament. Only 3 players were involved and 2 of them are nowhere near the XI currently
I'd be laughing too if all my excuses were found out...
What's the next one mate, I'm intrigued to hear this
If the OP bothered to look at our expenditure, we have spent circa £100m in the last year.
Why some Arsenal fans get exasperated as we have not matched the spending of City, Chelsea, or United is beyond me.
While we are in a greater financial position than ever before, we will never be able to match those clubs (our direct rivals) on a financial level. For obvious reasons. The club therefore have to be more astute, and pick and choose targets more carefully.
We could spend £200m and still not win the league or be closer to CFC/City. Hopefully some business can be done, but it will not be on the levels the OP believes.
The bottom line is we can afford to address at least 2 more vital positions that need addressing, it's not been done.
AKBs will argue anything excuse after excuse

Inventor, no real need to use AKB this, WOB that and so on. Your point is getting diluted because of this.
I completely agree with your frustrations, and it is ridiculous that we haven't bought a striker and a DM. Didn't realise Giroud, Theo and Welbeck are so good that we can't upgrade on them. And clearly Coquelin is going to play every match till the end of time
Wenger 3 hours ago :
At the moment, I cannot say I am very confident because we are not close to signing anybody.
“I don’t know because I am always confident that a last-minute situation or solution is available, because the transfer market is especially moving in the last four or five days.
“At the moment, I cannot promise you that. We work very hard … you know I have a team around me who work day and night to find good solutions.
“But at the moment, we are not close to signing anyone. I am 24 hours available per day, so I am involved in the decision of course.”

Whether you support AW or not is irrelevant. Personally I find the acronyms ridiculous… They suggest a predetermined mentality regardless of the subject.
Since Giroud was installed as our main CF, we know the club have targeted Suarez, Higuain, Benzema, and possibly Cavani.
If the club is unable to bring in a “top” CF at present, what point is there throwing millions on a player that is no better than what we have?

Well.. just 4 more days of this to go...
We have already dropped two notches below city and Chelsea
Chelsea have got in Pedro and have an immaculate injury record and will probably suffer 2 or 3 injuries all season.
City have bar far the most balanced and powerful first team and with more incomings over the next few days they will be the team to beat
How dare you as a supporter get frustrated when your club appears to be lacking in the ambition required to compete at the level expected. We only signed Sanchez and Ozil because we were offered them, maybe even Cech too.
Arsenal has big ambitions, just don't pander to clueless adult baby supporters
The paradoxical adult baby with enough foresight to predict we wouldn't challenge for the league in the last 3 years. You saying Arsenal have big ambitions is like me saying I'm the smartest man in the world, I can say and believe it all I like but until I do something which could justify a statement like that I just end up looking stupid.
i think 1 of the main points is, most of us do want to be able to compete with City, Chelsea and Man U so it's time to bring in the big sugar daddy!
What like Atletico Madrid did?
If the club is unable to bring in a “top” CF at present, what point is there throwing millions on a player that is no better than what we have?
----------
I hate this... on another thread I have listed several players better than Giroud. Half of them have transferred this window.
Giroud really isn't that good, decent at best. You can go down a level from 'elite CF's' and still find many much superior to Giroud who will suit our best players a lot more.
Costa isn't world class imo but look at the difference he made.
Sturridge isn't world class yet was a massive plus for L'pool in their title challenging campaign
Giroud is awful and to be content with him for a 4th year under the excuse that there's 'not many better' is disgusting!
You list all those players but none have even been close to signing, it's easy to claim 'we tried' evidence suggests we didn't hard enough
What else has your great foresight told us..? fans like yourself were the ones who would say things such as Wenger will never spend money, Wenger will never win another trophy again, Wenger sells players because he enjoys it yet are still stuck on the same record after last few years. That's why I call you adult babies, because you only have one default setting: negative moaner.
