Arthur

At the meeting it was requested that there was to be no note taking but an acceptance that a report of the meeting would be released in their own words.

There was no agreement with regards to an audio recording and verbatim transcript.

=====

Blimey, that is taking it to the extreme. Bet the tape recorder was not placed on the desk in full view

Still, well played for getting a meeting. But nothing we already didn't know.

I know think they have had lessons on releasing a statement that covers things nicely. Recording aside there is a valid point here. In the thread about fans fighting I pointed to the club causing this not the fans groups. I do think the club is trying to turn fans against fans. I am hoping to go the meeting on Saturday to see what all this is about first hand.

If I manage to go will report on what is said.

I do not understand this nit picking as to who said what to whom. We as supporters have a right to know what is happening at the Club. It would appear that the report by the Blue Union is accurate. Everton did not (you will note) threaten legal action as to the accuracy or truthfulness of the report but rather the legality of its release and even that has not transpired. It seems to me as a mere layman that the Liverpool FC model of putting in place an interim board with the express purpose of putting the Club on a more solid footing was a very sensible move. You would think that if Bill (heart on sleeve) Kenwright truly does have the interests of the Club in mind that adopting the Liverpool FC model is not only sensible but common sense.

You would have to pay an interim board, plus this was a bank decision and not one the club made. I would prefer the money to be spent on a contract extension for Fellaini rather than someone getting paid to do what the club is already trying to do.

Everyone will have a different view on this, its a can of worms......if you dont agree with me then I propose we don't have fisty-cuffs

Well the obvious answer to your quite accurate statement about the Liverpool Interim Board is what! I would suggest that it is in Evertons best interest to voluntarily appoint an interim investment seeking board rather than wait for a compulsory appointment by the Banks.

Agree you only need to look at the lies told by the club during Kirkby to show the lengths they will go to.

Annoys me they are yet again turning fans against fans. No doubt some posters on here will believe the club that is their choice. Either way fans should not turn against each other.

I hope the media runs with this some more now the BU have given their side. Notice the legal action threats were dropped. The only purpose they served was to deflect from the transcript discredit the BU and stop most media reporting on this.

PJ's what did you make of Dave Prentice's article ???

“I’VE got a new buyer for the Reds,” said Seymour Pierce consultant Keith Harris exactly two years ago this week.

He hadn’t.

Two years earlier he declared: “As regards the sale of Everton, there are certainly grounds for optimism. It’s a terrific club.”

We’re still waiting.

There has to be a more efficient way of selling a football club than using a man who immediately makes you think of a duck.

The tale related by the Blue Union’s meeting with Bill Kenwright last week simply underlines that fact.

Here’s a snippet: Bill, “Of course Keith Harris is involved….Keith Harris is involved on a daily basis.

Bill went on to tell a story concerning Keith Harris; he’d put forward two guys who, in his opinion, were suitable potential owners of Everton Football Club.

Harris claimed the two guys controlled a hedge fund; one was the head of ICI in the Far East and a second an inventor.

They conducted due diligence and Everton were ready to sign an agreement when Bill smelt a rat; investigators discovered that ICI had never heard of the person concerned, he actually lived in a one bedroom flat, and the second guy, the inventor, was based in Manchester.

That brings to mind a quote I’ve used on this page before, but it bears repeating. It was uttered by Manchester United chief executive David Gill.

“Keith Harris will go anywhere that there’s a bit of publicity around. That’s his modus operandi, but his track record in football isn’t anything to write home about.”

So why is he still being used by Everton?

Evertons best interest to voluntarily appoint an interim investment seeking board

==

Do you think that they would agree to this? With early turning a profit of £1M a week from other interests?

What is the level of say that Green has?

Banks will be the ones to force an interim board.

Ye gods, is Crispy saying Bill did something right?

I don't know too much about this Harris bloke, seems like a bit of a chancer.

Maybe we should be campaigning to get Harris out instead.....

For the life of me I just can't get my head around all this nonsense. Wish we could just get blue union and the board in a room and bang their heads together. All this nonsense and 'he said this' 'they said that' is simply detracting from what the club are trying and needing to do on the pitch. Both sides at fault here. The board and Bill for being so naive and not wondering what questions the Blue Union would ask and the Blue Union for not telling us anything that we didn't already know and making a big deal of it.

Yes, well done, it brings even closer attention to the fact we have no money - why bother, it just means the vultures circle ever closer thinking they can hold us to ransom and sign players on the cheap.

===

I refer you back to the statement made in when skies are grey regaring a sale. You con only sell if a buyer is interested.

Why have we not had one person come forward in the media to state the asking price for the club is too high?

If you cant give me an answer, don't bother cutting and pasting more mindless drivel.

Regards

PJS

What I've copied and pasted is far from mindless drivel and you know it but have chosen yet again to make yourself willfully blind.Dou you support EFC or the board of EFC ?

PJS there was an article which had copies of mails saying Everton made potential investors sign all sorts of confidentiality agreements that it is also claimed have put off investment. Maybe the reason none have come out is because they have signed this. After all BK himself has said he talked with investors many times. The whole Keith Harris thing sums it up. If the club is truly for sale why continue with a proven failure.

You cut and paste out of context!

This was in reference to the situation Liverpool were in last year!

Would you prefer an interim board to be sat looking for non existant buyers on six figure wages; or the money used to secure Fellaini to a nice long term deal?

It is not out of context you had just said this.

"I would prefer the money to be spent on a contract extension for Fellaini rather than someone getting paid to do what the club is already trying to do."

How can putting up the evidence of Harris's failures and the clubs continued faith in him construed as being out of context ?

Again top marks for trying to change the direction and meaning of my earlier post!

Was the interim board at LFC appointed by the banks?

Would an interim board put into place want to do the job of sellign the club for free?

Would such a board have the power to sell the club?

Would this type of board attract non existant buyers?

Unless you can answer any of these I am out

posted on 30/8/11

Crisp he does have a point how much would it cost to have an interim board. Of course you could argue get one in it finds investment then we would not be worrying about the contract as we would have a club with a future and money to pay him.

I don't trust the current board to sell or find investment something has to change.

In his defence he wanted anyone in to sell the club not just Harris. Also BK has basically said Harris is involved daily yet is useless so why continue with him?
