Happy with that. Needs game time or he'll stagnate
He should get game time, he's similar to Ibe but Ibe's form has been off. We are actually short of pace behind the striker if Ibe and Markovic don't play
Markovic and Balotelli out on loan, the Suarez money was invested wisely I see
At least Martinez will never have to worry about how to spend investment into Everton.
He's a talented player I used to enjoy watching for Benfica, I hope he comes back and does well but he may just be one of those who doesn't adapt to the PL.
If he gets regular starts I think it's a good move. Still could be a good player for us in the future but he needs game time.
Red ... Exclusively... But Tony Barrett otherwise
Still think this is a mistake. Good player
He won't play for Liverpool again.
The club are simply protecting the asset value by loaning him out to a league and club like Fenerbache. If he plays well they can recoup 15m.
If Liverpool had any intention of developing him on loan with a view to him returning, then they would have loaned him to a club in the premier league.
Instead, they have loaned to a league that is on a similar level quality wise, to the one Liverpool signed him from.
I wonder why they did that.
Rodgers has talked recently about the need to make quicker decisions on players. He couldn't leave this kid in the squad for another season because his value would have dropped sub 10m.

Would have been better if he was loaned to a PL club but no doubt we are getting a decent loan fee. It does though leave us short in terms of attacking wide players. Ibe form has been patchy.
this was never a good signing and I said it at the time. I reckon if we sell we will not get more than 7 mil if that
Not happy with this. If he had to be loaned he should have been loaned to a Premier League club. Personally I'd have him starting over Ibe anyhow.
Perhaps I am missing someone out but we now have 4 players who can play wide? Coutinho, Lallana, Firmino and Ibe? If so perhaps someone else is coming in.

We won't see martinez waste the Stones money
I think Brendan has totally mismanaged this lads development. Both in the loan and in where he played him last season. A huge waste of money too.

It's wasn't mismanagement to play him at wing back. He is one player, it's the team that matters and that was the system which picked us up points when all else had failed. Not only that but he actually had quite a few good games from wing back.
Personally I thought this season was gonna be his breakthrough season but for some reason Ibe was preferred. Possibly Ibe shows a much better attitude in training.
I expect Markovic to have an average season in Turkey where his fans say he is playing amazingly every game (they will watch every game).
He will score about 5 and assist about 5, then we will sell him next summer.
Could be wrong but just my hunch. I don't think he has the cojones to be a Liverpool player.

I would agree with that if Marko was now being given a chance to step up but as it is he's never been given a chance to stake his claim in his favoured position week in week out. So the fact he's filled in at wingback has been detrimental to his Liverpool career not a benefit.
Players should be played in their best positions but Brendan was at stages last season doing it by numbers.
Thankfully we seem to be far more settled this season.
Shame, this lad has an awful lot of talent in him.
I think he has more talent than people give him credit. He obviously was a confidence player yet never really was backed or got a decent run regularly being subbed etc GL to him dont think we'll see him again even if he does well. Probably doesn't have the 'character' to make it with us.
Better than a few who play more regular for us imo

If you find a winning system during a season when things aren't going well then it becomes about keeping it and fitting the players in it, regardless of their natural position.
TOOR is right marko was a victim of a poor league campaign which mostly stemmed from an inability to bring in backup for sturridge.

Basically it all came down to Sturridge being injured and Balotelli proving to be a poor signing.

He should show it on the pitch and training pitch then, that's what gets players in the team.
You don't get picked to play football because you have talent.
Millions of players have talent.
Reports that we are getting a loan fee as well as 100% of his wages, Liverpool have made assurances he will return next season to be in our long term plans.
We are still negotiating the terms of the deal, i imagine it will be some clause to pull him back in january if hes not getting the right number of appearances, or is being played in unfavourable positions.
