What's done is done now, but the GK situation was handled poorly
I feel like we've been trying to shop on Ebay and getting some good deals and then some dodgy deals.
Madrid paid €10m for Navas, so let's not assume he is just some worthless nobody.
Can non of our fans ever calm us the biggest club in the world again please

I'm more annoyed at the Martial fee....36mil for a 19 year old that no one has ever heard off?!
A teenager for that much? You'd expect him to be hyped up like Rooney, Ronaldo, Neymar were yet this is a kid that no one has ever even heard off despite the fact he plays in Europe. Worrying to say the least
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just because no one has heard of him doesn't mean he is rubbish. It would be worse if he was late 20s and no one had heard of him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. How many people honestly heard of Ronaldo before he played against us in that friendly?
Real made a profit on Navas.
Lol

good to see your handling this well
The question is - will Navas walk straight into the no1 keeper position against Liverpool or stick with Romero?

We made a profit on DDG
Lol
So we have just replaced a GK who is realistically worth at least 30mil for someone who is worth around 7mil?
Add the fact we have just sold a proven goalscorer, our best youngster and another youngster and replaced them with a youngster, whilst also making a net loss on these transfers and people are saying it's been a good day?
The way I see it, we have just weakened our GK and ST further and lost some money in the process!
Well when you put it like that
Depending on the figures you believe
If it's the lower figure then we actually broke even on DDG and Real made a profit on Navas.
I sincerely hope it was 40 mil + navas otherwise we ha been bent over once again especially after paying silly money for a 19 year old no one has ever heard of.
Tbh until I read this article I thought it was 40 million plus navas
Nothing wrong with this deal at all...
The only stupid thing is dragging it out for this long! Should have been done and dusted on the first of July!!!
Nothing wrong with this deal at all...

You're easily pleased, good job Moyes wasn't involved, you would have lynched him.
We had to sell DDG, he wanted to go,for obvious reasons.
Whatever the figures are, it's the best we could do.
Next year he would have gone for free, plus we have got Navas, who may,or may not turn out to be very good.
No good moaning about it. Plus in this case it's not the size of RM, it is where they play their football.
They basically paid us how much we paid De Gea to come to us and just added another keeper. Ed Woodward isn't that good at his job especially if a £15m player at best in Martial comes to us for ridiculous fee.
We have been mugged really again, Real Madrid some reason are like Chelsea get top players cheap sell past it best players for ridiculous fee. If its really true the fee we got for DDG then its embarrassing.

Not Wilson going If this is the case I want LVG fired soon as.
Navas is a very very good keeper! It's a shame but you need to reign in the side show so you can progress with the season. Unfortunate but it happens. Don't think it will be as big a loss as you may think.
The guy was on his last 10 months what u expect to get something like 40 mil is just absurd it would never happen.
Goofy One we paid like £24m for RVP who was near end of peak with injury problems. One year contract left. Real Madrid basically mugged us for years. Beckham RVN Ronaldo Hernandez (loan) Di Maria and now De Gea, even Heinze went cheap.
Here's what Guillem Balague has just tweeted about the De Gea deal: "1hr to go. All agreed (between clubs+players) but clubs rushing 2 do paperwork. Can u imagine if red tape stops DG transfer?? #tension.
"Never before an extension to deadline has been granted in Spain. The authorities don't allow it #willrulesbechangedifneeded?."
Imagine the transfer doesn't go through in time. All feckin summer to sort things out and both clubs end up with unhappy/unwanted keepers.
GB seems to know to much, maybe some of it is BS.
I'm quite happy with it. We were offered £13-15m and told Real to stick it up their backsides. This package is worth double what they thought we would/should accept. We always said we wanted a player in exchange and we got one - a pretty useful one too by all accounts.
Would people have preferred £35m in cash with no replacement?
