LAMU!

If anyone thinks this is some staffer at Man Utd playing a blinder needs to think again. Man Utd wanted to sell De Gea.

However some fool at Man Utd was working on the midnight deadline for the Spanish transfer window to close not realising that Spain are on CET, +1 hour ahead of UK.

His last tweet. Maybe he doesn't mind now he has CL football and an ok group. Stay 1 more year, maybe sign new higher wage contract, Man Utd are happy and leave next year for a bigger fee. Get in euro 2016 squad as 1st choice keeper.

yes, i am sure that after the events of the last 6 months, and the farce of today, he'll be knocking on ed's door soon asking for a new contract.

De Gea's career would seem to have been harmed by bureaucratic incompetence. Hope he seeks good legal advice.

Man Utd delayed it to long Well played Ed Woodward. That huge gap meant Real Madrid had no chance to do it.

Manchester United keeper David De Gea's move to Real Madrid fell through because of the paperwork not being done in time and now the Spaniard is focused on winning back his place in the Old Trafford club's starting line-up.

"I felt good, I really wanted to play," De Gea told Spanish television after his country's win over Macedonia on Tuesday.

"Now I need to keep working and see if I have some good fortune at my club as well.

"My future will be the same as now: remain calm, keep working and improving. In concrete terms, enjoy my football. I am happy."
