Forget Arnesen and Jol....

There will only be Walker and Rose left from when Harry left!!

Testimonial year this Summer

Big mistake letting him go on loan when we were plodding along with little pace down the right last year, and quite poor treatment of a long serving player when we had dross like Lamela stinking the place out.

We've signed two players with pace recently though, and as long as they settle ok I wish Lennon well. Everton have a little gem there, undervalued by us.

Yep time for him to go. Hope he can recover his form even without us, because there's a very useful footballer in there somewhere, and he still has time.

A change would be right for both parties at this juncture.

Lanespurs

He's unjustly maligned, OK his finishing and scoring record leave a bit to be desired for a winger with great pace and trickery but unlike some he worked well tracking back and putting in tackles to support the RB, something he didn't get much credit for.

He may not have developed as we had hoped but for me he still offers more than Lamela has to date.

Should be a good battle when we play Everton away between him and Rose.

He was one of those direct wingers who used pace rather than skill. When we 1st had him he was young , keen and fresh and it was all exciting.
Unfortunaterly, you need a football brain and a bit more skill these days. The last game I saw him play well was against Everton at the lane. But he only played well cause he hassled and chased every ball and was applauded off when substituted. I don't recall him taking on ONE single Everton player or delivering a killer pass or cross. When you see the Shaqiris, Traores, Bolasies etc in the Prem these days makes you realise we need more than what he has to offer.

Love the guy and good servant but time to move on.

Good Post. 5 stars.

Lennon has been a good servant for the club and we have lacked his pace which has been to our detriment.

Poch must have been seriously p i s sed off by him to leave him out in the cold and persist with snail pace AM's.

Did not realise he is only 25. That's usually when players peak.

Who's 25? Because Lennon definitely isn't..

OP said in his last paragraph something about 25.

I am. Was just putting my age as a reason why Lennon is one of the best players I've seen in a Spurs shirt, because I can't really judge players that played for us pre 1996-7 (having not seen them play in the flesh).

My top 10 would be something like this, in no particular order.

1. Ledley King
2. Bale
3. Modric
4. Keane
5. VDV
6. Lennon
7. Carrick
8. Ginola
9. Teddy Sheringham
10. Berba

With shout outs to BAE, Eriksen, Lloris, Robinson, Defoe and quite a few others. I'm a bit to young to remember fully the impact of Jurgen Klinsmann. Ruel Fox, though, was my favourite player growing up. Seemed to share quite a few similarities with Lennon, thinking about it now.

He took on Evertons back four, then played in Soldado for the winner actually
