The vibe from United today is that all major business is done

Says who?

De Gea situation is a shambles. The guy obviously wants to be in Madrid, and whilst I am sure he will be professional, how quickly will he be able to re-focus in Manchester? Yes we have bought an unproven 19 year-old striker, but in the interim have released Hernandez, Janusaj, RVP, Falcao... and Wilson is expected to go out on loan today too. The attacking third was identified as an area where we were in need of re-inforcements and yet we have potentially released three attackers in the last 2 days!! I do hope this is part of a master-plan!!

So we loaned januzaj to a team where he'll struggle for game time

We.sold a recognized pl proven striker

And gambled massively on a 19year talent.

Fabulous united. Absolutely fabulous logic.

Sending Adnan on loan is the one that baffles me if we are to have finished our business.Hey-ho.

Yes: I'd like a more concrete evidential basis than the the OP getting a vibe.

Why are you flabbergasted? You wanted a striker, you've just spent 30 million plus on one. You wanted midfielders you've got Schweinstiger and Schneiderlan. You wanted de Gea to stay, he has. You should be happy, no?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I would have thought so, GreatTeams. You're talking to the Fifa Ultimate Team generation here though. Every world class player in the world in the squad and won the champions league five years on the bounce. If they can do it on the XBox it can't be that hard for United to do it in real life

Soooooo.
Gk situation: err, umm, arh.Sort of checked..I guess.

Defence: Needed another CB in my view.Someone experienced.

Midfield: Solid if a tad defensive.

Strikers: Youth,Inconsistancy and a out of form Rooney.

This is a going to be a long season with a farily small squad. Some young players should get their chance though, always a plus I guess.

Grow up. it is very understandable why people are disappointed with our transfer activities over the last 3 years, if you look at our current squad and the expenditure. Good chance we miss out on top 4 this year, and we definately won't challenge for the title.

"I'm flabbergasted!!"

You really shouldn't be. We made a £36m signing yesterday.

A plus might be that we could possibly see Mata now in the n10 role behind Rooney with Martial and Depay wide.
Atleast our counter attacks will have a much needed pacey look.

Grow up? Check you out!

If three years of disappointment in transfer windows make you act like a you might be better off elsewhere kid. I've grown up with United, had LMTBs and STs since the seventies and to be honest spoilt little twaats like you are the only thing I'd change about the club and our new supporters.

Roll on the end of the window and bedding in the many many new players we have with the core of good and improving players we've retained.

He is an exciting talent. Good article in today's Guardian. Pace, speed and strength and we are looking to the future. It asks the question if United went for Lacazette who is 4 years older and top scorer last season. I wonder if we did or not. Would be interesting to know.
I am not flabbergasted nor entirely satisfied myself with our transfers but that's just my opinion. I don't think we needed MS and BS. BS yes but not MS. Would ahem preferred a more box to box midfield player that can run with the ball and make surging runs like a Sissoko type.
Still think we are a CB short and a CF despite the young French kid signing.
Happy if De Gea stays and plays but don't want Navas replacing him now or in the future.

Looking forward to see Martial play. Not expecting wonders just yet but hopefully something that shows he is atleast highly regarded.

Word from #mufc is that there will not be another 1st team signing to follow Martial. Had been chatter about a poss move for another striker

We play with one up top so that isnt a huge concern, well,if Rooney begins to fire again.

Of course you have, like I said grow up.

Typical boring fan, bragging about doing this and doing that as though that makes you right, or some kind of hero.

You're following a football team, not giving to charity.

Just someone who's been through it, thick and thin, and is tired of spoilt brats whining endlessly about not having bought every player on the market. Doubtless you'll spend all season bitching about something else.

Been through what thick and thin? Again you're supporting a football team, not doing some heroic, get over yourself.

Don't be a knnob, who's claiming to be a hero, soft lad, it's describing that I've more than likely been round and close to the club a lot longer than you and we've seen it all before.

Did you go in the Sexton era? The early nineties? In the second division? Do you go now? United are not in a bad place at the moment, you need to stop being a drama queen.
