Yeah it's a team good for top 4.

Is that what your ambition is?

Op and godfather are Wenger loyalist so no point debating with them.

Embarrassing people can still make excuses

its not supporting wenger its looking at the team instead of just being hateful, this team can still win the title, some of you are acting like we are relegation bound

I assume Digby's happy we've spent less than the mighty financial powerhouses of Palace and Newcastle this summer. We should win the balance sheet trophy again though.

I'd rather tell my grandkids in the future how I witnessed Arsenal make the biggest profit since their existence than win silly little things like Silver cups to wave in the air, to be honest.

Great business model.

We have a team strong enough for the top 4 and maybe enough to challenge for the title.

We're still the proverbial "one or two players short" of actually winning it though in my book

In this era of multi-billion pound TV deals, not strengthening is essentially akin to going backwards in relative terms.

Cech was a great signing but our defensive-minded midfielder and CF problems have been evident for years. No-one is asking for last-minute panic buys, or over the top fees for flavour of the month players. We just want to see the club have a serious go at winning some trophies by buying a couple of solid performers to strengthen a talented squad and prepare it for a campaign on multiple fronts. We have the same problems nearly every summer so understandably patience is wearing thin. This is the very opposite of a knee-jerk reaction.

Tbh I think we will. United, Liverpool nor Chelsea look anything special this season.

City on the other hand, well they win with at least a 10 point gap.

A lot of people do ask for those exact things

Otherwise you're right. I still find the ejection of toys from pram on here quite amusing to watch though. It's like the season is over now and there's nothing to look forward to but the football.

To be fair OP, we were third last season and the teams above us strengthened in a few areas.

We bought a GK.

With the best will in the world, that's not going to bridge the gap between arsenal and those teams over 38'games. It's just not.

We have a decent squad when all are fit. But that's rare and it's still the same squad that came third last season bar Cech.

In fact, it could be argued it's weaker as several players were released or sold.

It's a top 4 team. That's all.

Is there a trophy for spending? Bayern spent 5 times less then Man City, but Munich are beating them on regular basis. Basel have a tenth of the Chelsea or Man Utd resources, but managed to beat them or even throw them out of the Champions League.

So just explain me your logic - is it: If you buy, you'll win everything? So Man City is going to win all trophies possible. That's stupid as feck, and works only on PlayStation.
