"35+22= 57
50+7= 57

The numbers represent the prices for the 4 players"

People are slating Carroll because he cost 35 million. It doesn't matter where the money came from.

He simply isn't worth 35 million according to most fans.

Torres hit the target with a header at the weekend which was striaght at the keeper. This represents a significant upturn in form.

Liverpool fans are like someone still trying to get over their ex who left them for another man with more money and better prospects.

And realising she's still terrible in bed and your new bird gives you twice the enjoyment in half the time. Wow, we must be bitter...

What don't you understand? Torres was desperate to leave so we let him go (not cheaply mind). We were desperate for a replacement and the only player we we're in talks with was Carroll. Newcastle knew we had money so forced us to cough up.

Don't get me wrong 35 is ridiculous but it more understandable given the circumstances that it was deadline day so they price was immensely inflated.

But you still can't let go, and if you could take her back you would do in a shot.

I have not seen one Liverpool fan on this board say that Carroll is worth £35m.

We had to pay that because his club did nit want to sell him. English players are always over priced by about £10m and he is an England International and only 22 years old.

Torres is 27, hads lost all his pace with all the injuries he has. he is a sulker and does not get on with hardly any of the squad and basically wanders around the pitch dragging his knuckles moaning at referees.

I know who i would rather have in my team

You are talking about Andy Carroll giving you great pleasure with a bedroom analogy?

Bitter no, bent yes.

We should sell Torres immediately so that Sturridge and Lukaku will have a chance to flourish

Torres has more ability than Carroll in his little toe.

"Torres has looked sharp of late, even though he's not scoring, where's Carroll just looks sh-it".

Really, when was that?

---------------

It was in the last match. He ran to the bench a lot quicker than the week before after being subbed after firing another blank.

I would tend to agree. But Carroll has twice as many goals in half the amount of matches. I know which I'd prefer at the moment.

I still don't get the whole 'Ex' analogy. Surely it suggest that Carroll is the 'Ex' and he left Newcastle to join a 'richer man' who must be Liverpool. Where's the insult to us?

No, it's kinda obvious you made it up.

RedMen, I don't think anyone really thought about your post, everyone just waded into the my dad's bigger routine without a minute's thought.

And ultimately AC is bigger than FT. Not better, just bigger.

So far I would have to say Newcastle were the only one who have made good on that particular piece of transfer dealing.

Any article written on the Liverpool board ends up with Carroll being brought into it

Course Newcastle were best off. Carroll swapped for £35mill and Ba :O great dealing.

I suspect you are young. Andy Carroll will score goals. He simply will. Good left foot, great in the air, strong. He will score goals.

Chelsea fans like to mock that Carroll was purchased for 35million.

Best part is... it was effectively Chelseas money
