Hi Benny, I't's not a fixture that excites me. A testimonial and all that goes with it. A plethora of substitutions and hopefully a little fun along the way.
I hope that none of our players get on the end of some overzealous Motherwell's players boot. The last thing we need from doing a club a favor is to end up with an injury, serious or not.
Let the Trotters Tots loose. If they are good enough they are old enough.
How old is this new goalkeeper ? he can look after them.
Derik has started but no sign of wheater or pratley. Best we can hope for are no injuries and one or two goals scored. Should be a thriller
vela and spearing experiment today then how they doing
Will be played at the usual testimonial pace but it gives a few players some game time. Looks like Finney is the next guy through the ranks considering the places on bench and friendly game starts.
Goalkeeper will be 20 in November.
From the club's twitter feed. Looks like Welly Silva's looking lively again.
Mike Newell's kid is on the bench for us today. Saw him in the reserves a couple of weeks back - could be decent.
Blloming heck bolton have scored a goal. Heskey
that Scottish humour gets me every time have we stopped for a chips break ? I'm in the dark up here
Dobbie has scored and keith lasley has pulled one back(walked through let the lad score)
Double fish and chips to celebrate with a fried mars bar.
sounds like a proper do hope tonight's disco is just as good
Just back from the game, live nearby so was glad to get a chance to see the wanderers live. tom walker and silva both looked good on the ball and silva made the goal well for heskey to finish from a yard out.
Derik Osede was the highlight for me, played excellent throughout and made a couple of strong charges forward.
its definitely time to give more of the dev. squad a go in the championship think woolery and clayton when hes fit will offer so much more than an immobile heskey, woolery did more in the 15 minutes or so he got than heskey did for the entire match
Thanks for the report heathen. Good to hear about derik. I saw him at oldham pre season and he looked a class act. Looking forward to his debut against wolves where he should come in for dervite who is suspended.
Sounds as if the youth could be our salvation.
We need to get Clough scoring and everything will be fine.
