Not my choice hound.
But I feel it may happen
Graeme Jones could be an interesting appointment!
Who would you want then Lanza
Really not sure hound.
But not clough or evans.
Danny Wilsons a strange one.
I wanted the Burton guy last time.
robins will available soon as well
Robins could be free after Saturday.
I have been watching the "progress" -of Paul Hurst at Grimsby
I hear that we want a manager with experience next time because Dickov wasn't and should have gone somewhere as a number two to learn his trade.
Would we want another L Plate.
Ifwe need a experienced manager who "knows how to get out out of this division" ( as I keep reading) how about Steve Cotterill?
If Clough or Evans got the job though Lanza would you give them your support even though you don't want them here.
With a choice of making a suggestion for the manager’s job based on what I think I know about them from afar and the alternative of an in-depth look at qualifications, record and a chance to hear what they had to say about their approach, I’d obviously choose the latter as I suppose we would all do.
Almost everyone who is unemployed and we know about will have left their previous job having failed to meet their employer’s requirements.
You can think of a few who have walked away from their last job like Nigel Pearson who seems a good honest Northerner but you wonder whether he would come to us. Redfearn probably got a raw deal at Leeds where owners can be eccentric to say the least, so he is not the typical cast-off either.
I have expressed doubts about Dickov’s coach who was dismissed by Oldham yet was still re-employed by Dickov which perhaps was one of his worst mistakes and I sincerely hope he too has gone. The coach is a crucial appointment.
Successful Premier League coaches ought to be a good source of lower league managers, but in moving they would probably be facing a pay cut. The other untainted option might be a Conference or League 2 manager or Rob Jones.
In fact I’d be tempted to give him a chance because he seems very honest with quite a presence and you feel would always command respect. The club will have seen him in his Development Squad role and he took that team to second place behind Hull City in his first season in charge. http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/news/article/-u21-report-rovers-1-3-hull-city-2418195.aspx. I was not aware of this until I researched it today and surprisingly little was made of it at the time. It was possibly an embarrassing contrast to the performance of the first team.
I am usually supportive of our managers. I was gutted when SoD left. I was supportive of Deano too. Despite the dull football, he got results. Flynn and Jones did well to steady the ship after Deano's departure and get us across the line. I was supportive of Dickov and wished him well.
However, even I came to the conclusion that it just wasn't working. With SoD, we punched well above our weight. Under Dickov, we were punching below our weight. I agree that falling gates will have been the major concern. We need a manager to bring back the passion, belief and excitement. The fans need to be able to believe again.
I think the interim appointment of Rob Jones is a good one - he's a winner and will get the best out of the players. As to the longer term? Let's hope that the club's selection "process" delivers the right result!
Hound clough of course i wud.
Evans i dont like his past misdemeanours.
Heres my realistic choice.
Stuart Grey
Another good name there Lanza in Grey
Strange isnt it that both Clough and Grey were vilified by their respective clubs supporters for the negative football that they played and the lack of goals scored by their respective teams, and yet some of our fans see them as a good choice for us.
Hound do you mean the sort of football that Sod gave us and who will always be raveered and cherished by most of our dwindling number of fans under the past mis manager
Brian Mcdermot.....would be good. But beyond us I think
No one who is out of work is beyond us Lanzo.
"It's a disgrace some of the things that have been said about him!"
Screw that... Thank fu©k the useless twonk has gone!

Yankee, further to your VSC post , do you now agree that some posters lack respect and have been abusive?
Lanza, I am not sure what made you bring SoD into the equation.
It obviously doesn't matter what names we pull out the air Hound you will have something to come back as per! <yawn>
You really are a boring p r I ck azza.
Where have I said that I have anything against any manager that has been suggested?
If you are referring to my post about Clough or Gray then read it again and try to take in what I have written.
No that is you! Every thread your sole aim is to argue or be snide as I've mentioned before. Your constant targeting of a couple on here is pathetic with every decent debate getting ruined! Why don't you crawl back where you were towards the end of last season toys and all!
