This is my opinion in fact Biton over Goodwillie is about the only one
Is what I said, never mentioned anything else, no glaring mistake their
People comparing individuals
It's how they come together as a team that's important.
At the end of the day, Celtic were so strong in the league last year because they had 2 top class defenders and two players in front of them in terrific form.
This year you've lost those two class defenders, replaced them with one who is certainly a step (if not two steps) down and an unknown who isn't that highly regarded by pundits in his homeland, while the two in front are bang out of form.
The Dandies have a good chance and it would be refreshing to see them put Celtic to the sword.
Boyata is shiete ffs
------------------------------------------------------
He's far from it believe me. His distribution can be poor at times and is something he needs to work on but in all other departments he's looked very good.

Apart from his defensive positioning, which is all over the place, and his workrate, as he likes to jog back when he's caught out rather than bursting a gut to get back.
So apart from his positioning, workrate and distribution, he's terrific.
To say you would take a player over the other is comparing them.
That's like me saying I'd have Jamie Langfield over Leigh Griffiths
you compared them, they are different players and ultimately it made a mockery of your argument which in all honesty was ridiculous anyway.
Come the end of the season, Celtic will once again be champions and you claim to not want to swap any of your players for ours.
Like I said, ridiculous
I've seen every single game he's played in and I stand by my comments. It does my head in the way we write off players so quickly, especially young players.
I would take Biton over Goodwillie is not a comparison, means i would rather him in the xi
I did not in any way, shape or form compare the two in style, ability or anything else.
If I had said Oh I would love Biton at No.10 for Aberdeen instead of Goodwillie I would see your point but I didnt, so really...
Fan was comparing the best starting XI of both teams.
given that you play different systems, that was always going to leave a comparison which wasn't right - in this case a forward thinking player for a defensive minded player.
He felt that quality wise, taking no account of the positions played, that Bitton was the better player.
Makes perfect sense to me.
Boyata will prove a very good signing for us.
Up until that Inverness game where a lack of concentration cost us two goals, he was solid and a goal threat too.
At this stage last year everyone wrote off Denayer.
I'd take flooking Mulgrew before Mark Reynolds
there is a difference in niall mcginn doing it for Aberdeen and niall mcginn not doing it for celtic
less pressure at Aberdeen compared to celtic
if mcginn really was better than anyone currently at celtic, he'd have been re signed
Jack -- Biton
---McLean---
given that you play different systems
Actually we don't, Aberdeen play 2 holding and 3 behind the one striker.
Case closed
At the time Celtic had better options than McGinn obviously so he moved on loan then signed for a club he would play, nothing wrong with that, he has proved he is a good player
so you dont play Brown and Biton behind Johanssen?
I'm starting to think Fan is getting dragged into believing his own wum
Where did I say we didn't?
I said we don't play different systems.
sorry NNH i read that wrong, my apologies
Murney, I believe so
I hear this every year from Aberdeen, United and Hearts fans, we aren't the same team blah blah and then ultimately we destroy them over 4 games and win the league by 15-20 points.
I expect Aberdeen to narrow that down to 10-15 this season but no more
and McLean is hardly a holding midfielder
Fan
And for the record, I would take Shinnie and Jack in a heartbeat
There's no doubt that Aberdeen probably have their best chance in a while to beat Celtic because of changes in our defence. If they can't beat us now then there's not much hope for them.
Only a couple of weeks ago we saw a Celtic 2nd eleven comfortably see off Dundee Utd. That said everything about the strength of our squad compared to the rest so over the season it's hard to see a real challenge coming.
Mcginn is a good player and has done well for Aiburdeen but he is nowhere near good enough or better than what celtic already have
Utd we can all agree are pash
Aberdeen play 4-1-4-1. Celtic play 4-2-3-1.
Also, we're not writing off a young player in Boyata. We're writing off a guy in his mid-20s.
