world class

Nowhere near world-class, but the best thing for him was to stay at Everton and should do for the next season or two and develop.

He's only 21.

Dont think he'll be at Everton this time next year. CL football awaits this lad.

Probably going to cost the buying club £40m+ though.

If only admin 2 hadnt wiped the thread where I was telling you all how good he is. Some of our fans were saying that Smalling is better. I have always rated Smalling and he is having a great season but Stones has the potential to be on a different level. I think in 5 years he could be the best CB in the world.

Smalling and Stones would make a great CB pairing.

United WILL buy Stones. It is a certainty at this point. Chelsea are out of the running after this summer. It was their only chance.

bookmark it.

Next summer when LVG decides to sell either Jones or McNair, I'd rather stump up £40m for Stones than a lesser amount for Johnny Foreigner who may be inferior.

Gone are the days where we can sign any young English talent without other clubs being able to contest with us.

Considering Chelsea showed so much intent on signing him this summer just past, they will no doubt be back in for him again next summer and players tend to like clubs that show long term interest which Chelsea most definitely have.

Add the fact we will still be a few seasons away from challenging for titles, plus we'll be changing managers within a year (come next summer) and also the London/Mourinho draw, I can't see us beating Chelsea to his signing.

Like Elvis and SLM I've been a big fan of his. The battle between us and Chelsea for him next summer might just be a huge landmark event as to who gets the new Rio. I genuinely think he'll be in his league .

To be fair, centre backs are shocking right now. Based on this season Chris Smalling, a good but not great centre half compared to the best of recent times, is top 5 in the world and he can barely pass a ball sometimes.

World Class?

Only a few weeks ago Deeney gave him the run around.

He's done nothing in the game to warrant such a label.

Stones won't go to London. Barnsley lad.

He is 100% going to be a United player. I am co pletely confident.

As Chelsea were told, he isn't for sale

If I had a champions league final to play tomorrow, I'd start smalling over stones.

That doesn't make him a better player NOW. As I said Watford made him look awful a few weeks back. He still has a lot to learn but the potential is there for sure.

Not to Chelsea. But Everton will sell to United. We have a rich history of doing business together which has always been positive, and Stones will much prefer Manchester. He's less than the M62 away from home. Dead cert people. John Stones, United no.6.

He handed in a transfer request to go to Chelsea. He would go to Londom at the drop of a hat.

Surprised Everton fans are so find of him after he said he wants to leave the club tbh.
