Rodgers just needs to instill some character into his players, he needs much time

i would just caution the fact that the 2 PPG thing is usually over a whole season, and we have got arsenal and united away, out of the way...

today was a step in the right direction

Four wins in your last 15 in the prem. That's terrible.

Ever since he whitened his teeth and left his wife for that secretary we have been poor. I think his ex must have done some vodoo magic or something

That' done it even GB is finding it hard to be optimistic ! Today was a poor result but a number of good performances from players. With better shooting we'd have won today. With some of the naivety of our players its difficult to see us finishing in the top 4 but talk of relegation is just frustration showing.

Give him more time, he just needs some more experience tbh.

quite happy with the performance, tactics and formation

the finishing was dire however

In all fairness there's not much Rodgers can about Mignolet being Mignolet (other than replacing him), and there's nothing he can do about Coutinho doing whatever that was. Milner should have scored as well.

All in all I thought we played well for the majority of the match. And our inability to put chances away cost us. Tactically we were good, our line up was good. The subs were good (even ignoring Ings).

Am I happy with the result? No, not even close, I said I would lose all faith in Rodgers if we didn't beat Norwich. And I'm almost standing by that, but I'm not sure he's to blame for what happened today.

And even if he was, I wouldn't want him outright sacked either. Unless we have an immediate replacement lined up and all but standing in our dugout ready for our next match, I don't see the point in sacking Rodgers whilst we flop and flounder for a replacement if we can't get people like Klopp or Ancelotti. And they 2 are the only people I can realistically say I would want to replace Rodgers at this moment.

I thought the return of Sturridge will steam roll you up to top 4 according to some of your fans on here?

Not like you to be so pessimistic. Do you reckon you will finish Top Four?

We have changed players over the last three years and still we are not improving. It has to be the manager fault. Bilic is doing a brilliant job at West Ham. Payet is a fantastic player but if Rodgers bought him he would be like Milner and just another headless chicken. The manager can get the best out of his players if he employs him correctly. It is very obvious we don't play as a unit. No system whatsoever.

The reason we don't improve is our best players leave (not because of the manager, because we're a stepping stone club) and we can't attract proven players as good as the one's who leave as a Europa level selling club.

It's a vicious cycle.

Doesn't excuse the poor buys we have made. This team is average.

some have been great buys, some shiite buys, some N/A as Rodgers forgot to use them or at least use them right, some look good for the future, some were meh

I think there is a hysterical overreaction to our signings in general and an absurdly high expectation considering how many players turn us down.

Doesn't excuse four wins in fifteen.

We had the chance and money to replace our best players but Rodgers failed in this part as well. Before us, Arsenal used to sell their best players but still getting into CL because Wenger was getting a good replacement and more importantly he had a system and was able to employ them in his system.

I guess you've never read the articles on the Arsenal board about his signings over the last decade

And I completely disagree that we had the chance to replace our very best players. We gamble heavily on long shot youngsters and damaged goods in the hope we find a gem.

We have 0% chance of going out and replacing our outgoings with proven talent.

Why should I read articles on the Arsenal board? Their fans are deluded. Every year they think they can win the league but come into reality late on. But they are good enough to reach CL and have an excellent manager. Cazorla replaced Fabregas.Van Persie replaced Henry. Now they have Sanchez Ozil and have won trophies and playing regular football.
