I get the impression that won't sway your mind, but it's there for you regardless
I have just seen an earlier interview with Zouma and his English is pretty good. However he cannot have done many interviews and probably in a year or two, he won't make the same mistake. I do have some sympathy for him. He has just been a bit naive.
Consider this as an example of typical media attitude:
Look available Chelsea player as witness, best for cause to seek one who least knows the language and con him into making a confession.
Wages paid for one more day and a pat on the back from the editor...
Stop deluding yourselves, his English is nearly perfect and he knew exactly what he was saying.
I am swayed thank you. I did not know about this clip.
As Gunner says above he was naive and clearly uncertain of the connotation word Cheat which will be different in French probably meant foxy/cunning etc. In English we are not "proud" of "cheaters", even on our team, and that goes for France as well.
But I stand corrected.
He wasn't pushed or lead into saying anything, he came out with it. Easy to say he didn't mean it now, but as his team mate he knows him better than anyone.
Zouma is an honest man who should be applauded for trying to out the cheats and keep our sport positive.

I do agree
There is an interview with him and others when he joined early 2014 where he is being joked at for his poor English, it seems since Jan or Feb 2014 he has done his lessons and his English much better but not good enough to know the difference between cunning and cheat....do give HIM a break. Like all of us he is a TEAM player ffs.
Nah I know, just being playful in between meetings
...and my point was if he meant "cheat" he would not be "proud" of Costa his team mate. Thats all i have to say on that, but you guys bantering on the other side, i applaud you, in your shoes i hardly could have done better at "doing " a rival star player, I'd be surprised if you were silent
He set it up for us to be fair, I have to thank Kurt. Not for his goal mind, dislike him for that.
Breaking news - if not unexpected - from the FA - Diego Costa has been given a three-match ban after his clashes at the weekend.

or koscilenys lunging two footer on fabregas
Ridiculous to give Costa a three match ban from what I have seen.
Looked like two bookings. Or maybe three
