It seems like the final third is devoid of much confidence to me rog, nobody seems to have much spark.
He needs to settle on the midfield formation and personnel and leave it for 4 or 5 games. I'm sure the constant changing is at least half of the problem.
As long as it doesn't include VLP. I am developing a Saunders type hatred of him.
Rog, you thought Wallace was the pick of the mids along with DJ, so why take him off ?
Couldn't agree more Roger i think the raffle approach has been a big part of our problem this season.
Pleased to hear Wallace looks like he is settling.
Didn't Wallace look better from the left by the way, after half time?
Would rather he played the 'ten' but maybe we should put Afobe in there and have ALF up front?
I haven't blamed any players tamwolf. All I did was ask how many more chances is RVLP going to get before he starts performing. It was Rogereli who called him "useless" and that Afobe looks frustrated and out of sorts. But hey, you'll never change.
Afternoon of shopping and family visits. Did I miss much?
I think Rodger's criticism was more about KJ though, as he said, "Why pick the useless..."
Good to hear an analysis from someone who was at the game. Always to be preferred to one from somebody on a different continent, following a totally different game on the TV, which I'm sure you'll appreciate.

Not really goldi, just a strange game with the usual problems in the final third against 10 and then 9 men.
It was a second half where we always looked likely to get something from the game but disappointing to take so long to get a goal against 10 and then 9 men. If the goal had come earlier then a win was clearly here for the taking.
I still don't think Kenny is getting the shape of the team right. 4231 is a formation I like but to me you can't play that with two wingers because everyone is just too spread out. And the full backs mark the wingers and the centre backs mark the striker and there's nobody to pass to. The front four need to be closer together to play off each other. And we are certainly not getting the best from Afobe by playing him as a lone striker.
And yet there were some positives. I thought Batth made a big difference defensively, and the 4231 does suit McDonald and Price. Wallace looked good once he moved wider and got some space. And Ojo was much better today as was Le Fondre. I thought Henry was poor, VLP was worse, and Byrne disappointed by getting into good positions but regularly hitting the first defender with his crosses. And as so many times it was left to Iorfa to add spark to our midfield play.
So as at Bolton we generally looked no better than moderate opposition, we need better team selections, and then we need the players to prove they are good enough to put us in the top part of the league, and it's far from certain they will prove that.
Ivan Toney about to come on for Newcastle.
Cheers Dj, glad i am not the only one that felt there were positives today despite the result.
Iorfa did sound like he was back to that swashbuckling standard he displayed before.
Thanks for the assessment, DJ. Appreciated.

Wolfie. My post was a direct reply to you and had nothing to do with Rogereli's post. Particularly as your post came before Rogereli's post.
You posted your opinion on the game, players and how we played despite admitting that you didn't follow it and actually watched a different game to the Wolves one. You also had the nerve to accuse posters of 'panicking' and point out that this amuses you, as if you are some authority on the matter.
As you didn't even follow the game and therefore probably have less knowledge of it than other people on here, I just pointed out (in fewer and kinder words) that your opinion on individual performances, the performance in general and how we can improve on it is as worthless to me as a pork joint would be to a butcher in Tel Aviv.
By all means give an opinion on the result. But don't have the audacity to tell everyone what was wrong with the performance or preach about how people should react when you haven't even followed it.
I hope this clears up the matter for you.
Clear now watch the rugby !
Quite funny to look at some of the positional information and see that Golbourne was more advanced than Kmac, price and wallace overall.
Bit of blubber get you going tino.
I'm trying to watch the rugby, but for every minute of play we have 5 minutes of stoppages for injuries. And they say footballers are wusses.
Not heard a single mention of the rugby here and that is despite the usa being involved in the tourny.
Unusual for these guys actually as normally they blow any teams efforts out of proportion.
