Like both line ups, Liverpool strong in defence keeping the home sides nice front four fairly quiet, Kasper putting in a MOTM performance against his old side. Neither side really got to grips with this fixture so neither dominated, both having good spells of possession.

Chelsea vs Watford
The seasons first piece of silverware is up for grabs, in the blue corner is the self professed "greatest of all time" Fandango, serial winner and serial bottler of big name auctions. Has taken this cup seriously en route to the final - a sign he's rattled by the emergence of TAb as well as Rof as serious contenders for the title so this the baby cup carries much more significance.
In the red corner, tis everyones favourite Irish/Dutch hybrid, Elsie. who continues to harvest money and young players like a young Escobar. should we really be shocked that a man with a better eye for talent than Ron Jeremy, has assembled a squad that's taken on all comers whilst fielding more U19's than Prince Andrew (Allegedly)
Chelsea Pros/Cons
+ I like the balance to the side, even though it's only 1 up top, Mbappe and Torres weigh in heavily
+ the defence has a bit of everything
- not sure on Bellingham in a 2, leaves a lot for Rice to do defensively and against more savvy opponents it'd get over-run
- Pressurize the opposition with a dominate performance, we don't allow their midfield to dominate, we must dominate! (see above, not sure that pivot would dominate anyone) Plus Elsie has 3 in there.
Watford Pros/cons
+ I like the 4-3-3- variation gives a control of midfield
+ Nunez is on fire
+ the switch back to two banks of four is a good defensive tactic
+ tactics as always set out a clear and legible game plan
- The only real minus is the comparable reputation/higher level attainment of the two sides
A closer game than it may have been on paper, LC has a well drilled outfit and a solid button man in Nunez. Tactically both men match up nicely BUT in tight games it's down to fine lines and I just felt and thankfully the fruity agreed with me, that Chelsea just had more match winners that'd manage to find a way.

Arsenal vs Man City
Jet welcomes Fan to the north London library for this Fa Cup encounter. A pretty strong 3-4-3 by the gunners vs a rigid 4-2-3-1 by Fandango the greatest of all time.
I quite like the balance of this Arsenal side but it feels slightly off up front, Saka will run himself ragged on the right flank, but it feels somewhat lopsided with Auba on the other side not being that player, where he’s back to scoring a lot for Barca as a #9, and of course Dybala as a #9 which isn’t his game (if that makes sense) wing-backs are quality and right up there with the best pairings in the league. I like your tactics generally Jet, they read well enough and I can see the game-plan but this “ Stones is in the middle of that for his experience to help guide two of the best young CBs in world football alongside him” I like Stones but I tend to find it’s him needing his hand holding Other than that I liked what I saw
Fan I kinda like the team, no glaring weaknesses, pretty well balanced, this bit of your tactics confused me though “We defend we do so as a team with two banks of four/five with Schick harassing their backline and really pressurize them into quick, misplaced passes” – I know you changed Schick out, but who do you get two banks of four or five from a 4-2-3-1? Yeah I’m probably being pedantic, cos you want your wingers tucking in and forming a front-three centrally.
Sometimes I feel like you’re playing with the handbrake on by making one FB sit, you have a really good DM in Kante let him cover the space and let your FB’s both get forward, you talk of passing triangles etc but then the sides always lopsided with no switchball, going wides the only way to kill a 3-4-3/3-5-2
Anywhoo a good close game this
Arsenal 1-0 Man City

MOTM – Auba…. One nil to the Arsenal would make a catchy terrace song

Leicester vs Chelsea
Oooh the tie of the round this, the galactico’s vs the invincibles. The era of RoFan rolling back the years for another humdinger, both clubs chasing a domestic double.. Rof League and Cup, Fan double-cup winner would be great for his legacy.
Rof with a nice formation change, the opening 2 paragraphs alone are probably worth a slot chuck in additional slot for using a Libero and Lesta are off and running. Rof Is possibly my favourite tactician, right up there with Tab, every detail planned, every scenario catered for, as always the tactics read well and there’s very little room for my pedantry ☹ Felix is playing himself into some form and we have to remember he’s still only 22, but I think a more physical striker finishes off that set-up beautifully, it’s a shame theres no chef’s kiss smiley.
Fandango sticks with his tried and trusted/tested 4-3-3 I like the defence, think the balance is good Bastoni/Varane are a good combo the physicality of the Italian and the experience and know-how of the Frenchman go together like a good Merlot and a slice of Provolone, wheres that bloody chef’s kiss? I like 2/3’s of your midfield and I kinda think they’d be just as good without fun-time Frenkie. You’re front-three is obviously as good as if not better than anything anyone else has
Tactics are fine fan have no major issues with any of it and it’s nice that Chelsea get both FB’s involved simultaneously
Close game this, home adv giving Leicester a nudge a long the way, fruity saw this as tight as Lubo’s wallet.

Watford vs Brentford
Two of Sports gaming’s nicest managers face off in a sort of London derby. In the one corner we have the worlds biggest fan of Dutch football and in the other corner we have a dude that lives in Holland.
LC has his conveyor belt of young South Americans in full swing, I like the formation and I find it well balanced, the tactics as always are concise and well thought out, Two of Watfords biggest weakness have always been lack of top level experience, but he now has Real sociedads keeper, a Scottish international RB, arguably one of Bologna’s better players, I would probably still shoe-horn in Angelino at LB though. And of course the other weakness was a trusted button man, but Nunez has really solved that.
I do think that this sort of in your face style does suit your youthful, high energy players, it’s a very Germanic brand and has you have half of Eintracht on your books it goes
Welshy always used to be a tinkerman, I’ve seen a much more stable welshy of late, nicely balanced side, strong and unpredictable out-wide with some decent quality through the spine and an interesting talent up top in Broja.
Tactically welshy is spot on, clear game plan and easy enough to follow/understand
Decent game this, Welshy has the better side, LC has slightly better tactics plus home advantage.

Auba (Dybala)

Leicester 2-1 Chelsea (AET)
Bruno (Neymar) Stirling (Goretzka)
Abraham (Nkunku)
MOTM – Alaba

Watford 1-2 Brentford
Nunez (Hauge)
Broja (ASM) Zlatan (Berardi)
MOTM - Hojbjerg
