Rose and Davies are on par but Davies starts in my team on the basis of his performances this season. Doesn't really make many mistakes and actually gets involved going forward more than people think.

The same applies with Walker and Trippier. Walker is a good right back but is prone to very silly mistakes. Trippier's passing and crossing is much better so eventhough he might not get up and down as often he makes it count more when he does. Pretty indifferent whenever either of them start.

Mason and Bentaleb have been ousted from CM positions. Dier and Alli deserve to keep their places for important games.

Alli is doing great but don't forget that until Mason got injured he was probably our best player of the season so far

I agree Chronic.

With the the attacking midfield positions still not set in stone, could Mason even operate in a role there?

big question is what does poch do if/when Kane gets injured?

also noticed that Dier is already on 4 bookings... we got some crucial games coming up... dont want him suspended. am looking at the liverpool home game coming up.

Is there a wipe out date for bookings during the season that resets them?

Son or chadli up top I expect, with others filling the positions that they leave.

We have genuine competition for places these days, that's a really good thing.

Anyone know when mason is back?

I assume the league and league cup ones are added together and count for domestic football and the EL one only counts in that comp then?

The back four pick themselves. Davies is finally starting to look a real player, and I don`t forget he was brought as a replacement for Rose. Rose only picked up a bit at the back end of the season, but as a defender he makes far too many mistakes. Davies for me now is number one.

Erikssen, Dier, Kane and Son are definite starters, and I think with Lamela`s upturn in form he is also a first pick now, Ali is still young and may have to compete with one or two before nailing down a regular spot, players like Mason, Bentaleb and Dembele are good back ups.

Townsend and Carroll I see no real future for at Spurs, as they are not good enough to start in the prem.

decent squad options i suppose.

Unfortunately, Carroll has just not progressed as we’d all hoped and I think we’ll see him plying his trade at a Championship club in the near future.

Townsend should be given more opportunities IMO. Lamela was 100% MOTM for me on Saturday but he has been given opportunity after opportunity, whereas the former’s face just doesn’t seem to fit with Poch. Every coach has his favourites, and as the buck stops very much at his door, I guess it’s his prerogative to do so.

When players like Mason, Dembele, Bentaleb come back, I am finding it hard to see where Townsend will even get a place on the bench, same goes for Carroll.

I personally think the starting 11 we went with against city are our strongest and best team. I'm not saying this just because we won 4-1 but me and chronic even picked that exact same line up last week. I said I wanted Chadli dropped and he got dropped. Lamela deserves his place right now as does Ali. Son really making an impact to so the team currently picks itself. The starting 11 against city is the best side we can field available

Although I still don't trust walker so eventually would like to see trippier playing right back once he gets going. Trippiers delivery is superb which is a major plus. Walker was at fault for our goal conceded against city and he does this far to often

Don,

===================

Sure Walker was at fault for giving the ball away but we should be reasonably confident, when giving the ball away on the edge of the opposition box, that it doesn't result in a goal within the next 9 seconds.

We play other defenders and defensive midfielders for a reason.

Tbh Eriksen could have tripped toure up for about 40 yards before he passed it.
