Do that and you would be contenders for top 4 IMO
I can guarantee you that in his absence you will perform better against Wolves and Liverpool.
If I am wrong I will call off mine and Don's wedding
don't need to, I said earlier i would be happy sticking VDV on the Right wing with Walker as Rightback. Lennons pace does nothing because he can't cross a ball so i would rather VDV there and he can drift in now and then. Walker would be the pace on the right......We could go 4-4-2 then. VDV is quality and i don't want to sell him
Don
I could not agree more. Lennon has been poor recently and with VDV cutting in then Walker can actually overlap!
I like the idea behind this thread, but he really should be used properly - he's a top player, triffic lad.

i like don's shape/idea,with walkers pace,VDV lack off wld be lessened.
and while his set play delivery is woeful, his delivery from wide arrears shld be far more effective than azza's.

Harry needs to grow some and tell VDV to stay on the right in that case.
VDV cutting in and crossing/shooting with his left or playing it to an overlapping Walker sounds very tasty.
Galvin - Kaboul's best game was spent when VDV was on the right! He literally ran the whole right side. I can't remember who against though! You're probably right in that it'd be horrible against a top team!

I'll forgive VDV and not want him sold if he gives the set pieces to Bale
I agree that Lennon has been poor attacking wise recently but he does track back and defend, VDV rarely tracks back and Walker isn't good enough at defending yet to be our main right back. If we had VDV playing right mid and Walker playing right back then we would get torn up on the left.
To be honest at this point in time VDV is a luxury we cannot afford
Plus VDV scored more goals last season then all our strikers put together, him and Adebayor will be our main goal scorers this season.
I'm not sure what VDV would bring on the right. I thnk that if he plays it should be in CM. If he's good enough then he will adapt..if not then we have other options.
Due to Walker's lack of defensive ability, maybe move him into right wing competing with Lennon? I suppose it will give Lennon some sort of motivation?
