Pearson or not they will find it hard to stay up this year. Not enough hungry young players and the promoted teams all making positive starts.
I'm sure he'll be tempted, it's a big club, and probably enough left of the season for him to believe he can save them.
I hope they go down regardless of whose in charge.

Gotta be the only manager with a banned first name

Surely Sam Allardyce would be the first name any bottom half club will look at if they sack their managers

Sunderland is a mess and needs totally rebuilding. That's exactly what Pearson does but he tends to need time.

He is also good at motivating a set of players, so would be a good choice with 10 or so games to keep a team up.

I'm not sure this would be the right move for Pearson or Sunderland.

Yeah i think he'd have to take them down, weed out the non-tryers before bringing them back strong

Sorry Hallgreen but the Daily Maul, they could barely get the date right without making something up.

Still, the question in general, Pearson himself says he's a team builder rather than a rescue artist so I guess it would depend on what the Sunderland board wanted, obviously with the massive pay day next season that would be more rescue this season.

I think Pearson will wait for Villa 😉

I'd take the job if I were given two seasons regardless of relegation.

Would also have it written into the contract that preseason could not take place in Thailand.
