And yet still always finished above you and never lost a game. Says it all about Everton.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bit of a kick in the teeth for him to get the push when his team are below Everton after doinf so well in previous seasons.
Did he not tell FSG that £350million only guarantees finishing above the neighbours
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're missing the point. We and he were so awful, his transfers were so bad, yet we always finished above you and you never beat us. Like I said, says it all about Everton.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Brendan has left Liverpool with a squad that is worse than when he took over despite spending vast amounts of money.
I'd say that Martinez has a squad of players that are stronger than when he arrived.
Brendan deserved the sack, but like almost every Evertonian and also every supporter from rival teams I am gutted that he has gone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Squad is better by miles. First 11 maybe not but when you lose carra, Gerrard, Suarez and sterling it's to be expected. Still Br> Everton. Fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this the second time Rodgers has been moved along?
First Reading and then Liverpool.....will he add Sunderland to the list.

Don't know why they sacked him now, they were starting to turn a corner.
Held the group leaders to a draw in Europa, went into today's derby as underdogs and held us to a draw. He should of been given more time

If Everton weren't so parochial they might have the same kind of budget.
You guys would be Champions League winners if you accepted outsiders

Did it? Pretty sure he managed it first season spending 40 million.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He finished above Everton in his first season?
So in summary.
Rodgers has been a massive and expensive flop, he has lost a managers job for the second time and looks like he will be a target for Sunderland. That must be music to the ears of Borini
So in summary
The bitters are happy a manager that hasn't finished below Bobby (I'll guarantee you CL footy) Martinez and hasn't lost a match against them has been sacked.
Poor Sunderland, talk about scraping the barrel.
At least they will have many 'outstanding games' and they will have loads of players showing character in the near future.
I am so gutted he lost his job,in football terms the only way I could feel even more gutted would be finding out that Rodgers was coming to my club as manager.
That would be such a bad feeling, how did it feel like Knotty when he was announced Liverpool manager
I was willing to give him a chance due to the fact he hadn't got a team relegated from the prem
I'm sure that the fans at Anfield will still sing his name.
Famous nights against Sion in the EL are something that will never be forgotten.
Or the dramatic shootout loss last season in the EL first KO round.
How he replaced club icons Gerrard and Carragher with Allen and lovren
Suarez with Lambert, he built a dynasty.

Some want stability, others want a manager with winning experience. After all, you don't get a trophy for 2nd or semi finals

You're right. After Bobby win the FA Cup for Everton. You'd expect him to follow up on his promise of Champions League footy.
