This feels a strange time to sack a manager the owners have backed over the summer. The new manager once appointed will have a tough month in terms of fixtures any way or so and wont be able to move players in or out till Jan.

I know where you are coming from T bone, I started watching under Busby and then watched mostly dross. Then Fergie, but I don't feel we belong at the top.
I hope we can be, but the competition is fierce and sport is always in the present.
Past glories mean nothing, ask a Leeds fan.

I hope he goes abroad
If we drop points to a Brodge side in future I'm not sure I could deal with the fallout
Sad to see him go but it does seem he has taken us as far as he can.
The club moves on, the next appointment is a big one for FSG. I really hope they get it right.

It's not worth topping yourself over TKT.

U do agree though that there has been some mismanagement here and they should have sacked him in the summer so the new person could come in and spend the cash.

But if that had happened, who would have been the new manager? Not Ancelotti or Klopp, who both said they wanted to take some time out. As far as I am concerned, there was nobody available in the summer that would have fit the bill.
