Ok, put it this way, where would you be picking this year if you had Cody Kessler

---

Where would any team? With Nelson we have a receiver as good as any in the NFC, who will make plays for any QB. Fortunately we don't have to deal in such hypotheticals. Every franchise with an elite QB would suffer greatly if you shoved some cac in their pocket. I'd say that every 2017 post-season franchise aside from the Texans was QB-reliant.

Our draft is likely to be focused on defense. CB in the 1st/2nd for sure. Could do with a RB, even with Montgomery changing his number

although I've a feeling we may see us go RB in the first, we've shown a huge amount of interest in Dalvin Cook and Christian McCaffrey, I'm a huge fan of McCaffrey, he's not just a RB, he'd be the 2nd best WR on the squad, he's just a brilliant offensive weapon

yeah Jordy's a stud, but I do think Rodgers makes the others look better than they are, the minuscule windows he fits the balls into are incredible, he could have taken the eagles to the play-offs last year with Agholor and DGB as his go to guys, thats how good he is

Never really seen him, I'll check him out.

I think we are hoping James Connor drops to the end of the third. He is the big back who would compliment the smaller backs we already have.

Conner could even go in the 4th IMO, another guy I like is Jeremy McNichols out of Boise State, he's a slightly taller version of Darren Sproles, he's got that lateral movement and elusiveness with a bit more power, great potential

So Aaron Hernandez committed suicide. That's pretty disturbing and such a sad way to throw away your multi-million dollar career down the drain.

Could have had it all but wanted to be a gangster.

DRAFT DAY

I both love and loathe draft day. Depending on where we are picking I can get a wee bit obsessed by it. I was so happy last year when we traded up to 2 and pretty much knew who we were getting (although I was very relieved when Rams took Goff)

This time round we are picking at an interesting spot in an interesting draft. We could really go in any direction. I was sold on getting a CB, when it became clear that Lattimore would be gone by our pick I figured that Jones and Tabor were the only other 2 in play at our pick. Then Tabor had a terrible combine and dropped to being a 2/3rd round talent. Then Jones got injured. Then just as I was getting talked into Moreau as a first rounder he gets injured too. Then every mock has Gareon Conely coming to us and he gets arrested for rape. I'm starting to think that God decreed years ago that Eagles will never have a CB.

I refuse to now be talked into Humpherey as a 14 overall pick. You can't suddenly talk guys who were not even top 5 CBs at the end of the season into being top 15 picks just because everyone else has dropped out.

I'm out as far as 1st round CBs go for this year, we will need to get lucky later in the draft.

So it looks like RB, WR or DE for us, unless a special talent like Foster drops to us.

Personally I don't think that running baks should ever be taken that early (if we do then it has to be someone like McCaffrey or Cook who can join in the passing game, although Cook's fumbles worry me).

The edge rusher at 14 shold be Barnett, and I can see him being a huge flop.

So I'm going all in for a WR. I kinda like the fact that all 3 top WRs are so different. To be honest I would take any one of them.

What is everyone else hoping for today?

Rumors have it that we are selecting an OL in the first round. Trading up to snag a QB in the second. With all that smoke, it looks like O'Brien likes what he sees in Manhomes better than your Dozer, Watson kind of guys. Personally, I'd love it if Watson came here.

As for the rest of the draft, more OL depth please and some back up secondaries.

Been watching the NFL for a few years and up to speed with the game but haven't a clue how the draft works!

It's as straightforward as it sounds.

All 32 teams pick in reverse order of their record from last year out of all of the players leaving college this year.

We go round all of the teams 7 times over the next few days. And that's pretty much it. Whoever they pick they sign for the next 4 years (5 year option for first rounders).

There is a little more to it, but it isn't that relevant (compensatory picks and such).

Teams can trade their picks and even players up to and during the draft as well. Makes it pretty fun to watch.

Wow!!

Anyone watching this?

Chicago trading up for Trubisky? Looks like they might have shafted Browns with that. Surely Browns tried to make that trade then 49ers tipped off Chicago?

I fecking forgot about the time difference so it's not at 1am

What did the Cubs trade?

posted on 28/4/17

The Bears traded a 3rd and a 4th this year, and another 3rd next year, just to move up one spot.

posted on 28/4/17

So what's happened this far, who went first? Garrett? A QB gone yet?

Down in key West so not gonna be watching.

posted on 28/4/17

Corey Davis gone at 5.

No one predicted that, I had kinda hoped he might have fallen to us.
