Finn didn't take 4 wickets today.
Its a mistake on the BBC website and Cricinfo
They made 192-9 and England took 12 wickets
Bairstow deserves a chance ahead of Buttler to be fair
I thought Finn did take 4 wickets. 12 wickets were taken. Cricinfo says three guys batted twice. If Finn took 4 wickets, then he took 4 wickets.
Ye your correct didn't realise the batters could come back out to bat a second time in the same innings.
New one on me
I'm sure Buttler will play in the 1st Test but I wouldn't give him too many more chances.
I'm also sure Moeen will open though I wish we had an established opener.
I'd pick Finn.
Its fairly obvious to me ali will open in the tests. Its something the selectors have decided on plan a and no plan b. Personally i wouldn't go down that route as ali is the first choice spinner and i think its too much for him to open as well. He does well at number 8 against tired bowlers. Opening though with his technical deficiency against the short ball is a different kettle of fish. Hales despite his county form looks to have too many technical issues that can be easily exposed at test match level. I have mentioned this in the past. Just accept there is no opener good enough and open with bell. The bowling attack. Why 6 bowlers? Leaves too long a tail. Surely 5, 3 seamers, 2 spinners and root part time is enough.

both teams agreed to bat one full day each.....hence 'extra' batsmen....
doubt it'll be deemed or recorded as a first class game.
