Never been to the country but the Germans I've met in the UK certainly have a dry sense of humour, I think they have a better grasp of irony than people here as well IMO, generally speaking.

You will know better than me but it seems that Germans don't find slapstick type comedy very funny, whereas people here seem to love it when someone falls over, drops something or generally f**** up.
