OP, here's a read on Klopp's possible formation and variations if you're interested:

Thanks. The last line in that write up might just be the way he goes

"A noted admirer of the Premier League’s virtues, Klopp might shed his Dortmund philosophy more than we expect."

Interesting article & even more interesting comments.

I love the Klopp themed 'Lord's Prayer':

Our Klopp that art in Anfield,
Hallowed be thy game.
Your Geggenpress come,
games will be won,
at home and away.
Give us soon our Champions League place,
And forgive us our Defence,
As we have forgiven Our Brendan,
And lead us not into Europa,
But deliver us from mid-table,
For thine is the kraft, the sturm and the drang,
For uber and uber…YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE
Anfield Amen

Not sure how he will use Can, whether he will use him as a midfielder or whatever. I'd also expect Lucas to play over Milner at times as well, or might be a starter over him, only issue is his physicality but players like Kehl & Bender are slow (but strong unlike Lucas) although the German league is a lot slower so Klopp may want more pace in the team.

433 might be used on rare occasions too. And there is a chance that we play a 442(4411 w/Kagawa buzzing around is what was used at Dortmund at times) as that's the teams standard defensive shape anyway.

Seeing as we have little time to prepare for Spurs, I think a 433 is a good shout for Saturday (may hinge on Cout' being fit or not). But beyond that 4231 will be what Klopp will work towards.

I wouldn't imagine Milner would be used on the right, Firmino has more than enough work rate and stamina to fulfil that role, and those 2 factors would be the only reason Milner would be played there. Ibe will play an important role off the bench/attacking starter as he is our only real outlet for pace upfront( should have kept Markovic). Studge is fast but will stay relatively central and won't get chalk on his boots.

Really worried about what will happen when Flanagan comes back from injury. He doesn't fit into this team in the slightest unless he makes an unexpected switch to CB. Would be a shame to see a player as good as him not get a chance because he can't bomb up and down the wing like a winger. Hope Klopp finds a way to incorporate him in a way that I can't see.

I think Flanagan has had his chance now.

I believe the first two transfer dealings under Klopp will be a CB and GK.

Mignolet isn't good enough, he is Sander Westerveld MK 2. Simply not good enough.

I think Loveren will be sold. Big Sam might be interested.

Joe Allen - sold. Not good enough.

Markovic is an interesting case. I can see him being recalled.

Sadly I can see Milner also being moved on. Inges on the other hand could excel under Klopp. He has a poachers touch, good pace and works hard. Im looking forward to his development.

Light reading for you, in case you weren't already aware of what was in store. These are my personal saved articles on 'Kloppetry'. Some are new from the last few days but others are a bit older. Enjoy.
