Moureen is a disgrace to football. School boy behaviour. I hope he will be sacked sooner than later

I totally understand José's position on this - there certainly doesn't seem to be too much difference between "afraid" vs "weak and naive".

The only difference I can find in trying to understand the FA's perspective, is that while Wenger spoke about the referee that day, José broadsided the whole refereeing establishment (including UEFA refs ).

He also actually defied the FA to punish him. Nothing wrong with that, but you could say that he was almost literally asking for trouble.

That said, I get the feeling this is going to work to JM's and Chelsea's advantage.

The situation will help to reinforce an us against them mentality at a time there needs to be more togetherness than ever in the squad, and he's also succeeding in turning the media focus towards himself and the FA. Who knows, his statements might even help some ref or other to err on the blue side next time he's in doubt.

Well played, imo.

The man is an absolute buffoon. He gets punished, rightly, for his ridiculous comments and then has the audacity to complain about his punishment. And he wonders why he gets into so much trouble. He has just become a laughing stock this season.

During his 7 minute meltdown the eye gouger identified that he would get punished, now he's bleating about it.

Diddums.

You don't have to be a pundit to call a spade is a spade. Why in the first place Moureen accepted the charge?

He should have appealed it...this mug ruined the la liga and now on course to ruin the reputation of PL.

Hmm. Not really sure what to make of this episode. Like everything involving Mourinho, the cynic in me has to believe he knew this was coming (he's many different things, but stupid is NOT one of them). He knew the language he used would draw the F.A. into action, so my best guess is the squad feel how he's feeling (or pretending to feel depending on how truly cynical you are) and he's attempting to win favour with them by standing on the front line representing their cause.

Course it could be one of his oldest tricks. Make as much noise as possible to deflect media attention away from his misfiring team, and to an extent if that's the case he is pulling it off. The lion's share of the coverage on our season at present has been aimed at Jose related stories.

Basically, do I believe this was something said foolishly in the heat of the moment? Absolutely not. He's working someone whether it's his own players, the media or the officials.

A fascinating character that is really struggling in his job at the moment, shooting his mouth off and rightly getting punished for it. Not the first person to do it, not the last, I suspect. Not sure there was need to highlight he was punished for his misdemeanor, or an article defending him. He's not a special case.

Sanctimonious bully only Chelsea fans agree with Mourinho. And probably not even all of them. Why would I take a manager who is the same amount of points away from the relegation zone as he is from the top half of the table? We've just appointed a world class manager in case you haven't noticed, so no thanks
