Paris games show is next week with a lot of announcements being made by Sony, with Christmas fast approaching there are bound to be alsorts of bundles and deals so might be worth waiting.
There are alsorts of games coming, it really depends what you are into?
If you are into football games get PES not fifa. FIFA is a lot worse this year
Wait there should be a price drop soon and black Friday next month

They still make Tony Hawk games
Oh i forgot to post: dont buy tony hawks, by all accounts one of the worst games this year, and avg maybe 2 on meta
£299 for a PS4 plus the Uncharted collection is a bargain
Yeah my mate has Tony Hawks and said it's absolutely mince. Definitely one to avoid.
Yeah have'nt heard good things about Hawk's either, there are better games to spend your money on.

Played Assasins creed Unity, got a few hours into it and sold...poor game
mind you, I also found Last of us, MGS5 and Witcher 3 boring too...
so it may just be me
Console games aint all they used to be imo. Id suggest going with a decent PC.
Disagree rtm, if anything console games are technically the best they have ever been. Also a decent pc is twice the price of a console and 10 times the bother that people may not want, yes in the long run they even out and over 3 or 4 years i agree a pc works ouf better value, but it is still the hassle that comes with buying/building a pc that you dont have with consoles
Think youre making out PC's to be some sort of endless struggle when theyre not. You can get a decent PC built for much less than double the price of a current console.
And of course they are "technically" better games. Doesnt make them more fun though.
I came from PC gaming RtM, but came to apprieciatte the convenience of consoles, As Simon says Pc's have their plus points but so do Consoles.
If VR proves itself on PC I might get back into PC gaming.
Both do, of course. And I came from a mainly console gaming background. I think the convenience is a bit overstated. Aside from the initial purchase of a PC its very simple to play PC games. Just understand your PC's general stats and use 'CanIRunIt.com"
Rtm it is when it works, which is 99 times out of 100, but that 1 time is fecking annoying and could be too much for some people, consoles work in comparison 100/100. And im sorry it is a continuous struggle, its like owning a classic car, when it works it is amazing but you are going to need to go back and tune stuff up, the older it gets the more tuning required, but that is half a the fun of a pc, and i will also say you wil be hard pressed to put a good pc together for less than £600.
Simon Ive had consoles (both xbox and ps) die on me so dont know where youre getting 100/100 from. Ive been on this PC which was only good when built and not great for about 7 years now.
I understand some people would blow a fuse if something happened to their PC though. I just feel its worth the small amount of work needed to be a PC gamer.
Thats physically breaking vs driver, bsod, gpu, cpu issues etc. Thats why i say a console works 100/100 vs PC. Like i said dont get me wrong and over 3 years a pc becomes better value, but even that small amount of hassle is too much and in general you dont get that in consoles. And think every game you start now you fine tune to work on your pc, turn aa on, put shadows on med, is the v sync on? Some people just arent intereted. Console you pull out the box, plug in 2 cables and stick in a disc. Horses for courses, mate. I enjoy my pc but im a tinkerer, but i have worked with and built pcs all my life, i know the baggage that comes along with them.
Some people just arent intereted.
Thats probably it. But a shlt ton are and I am one
I'm not interested in messing about, thats why consoles suit me, as I said though VR might pull me back.
A VR space strategy/simulation might convince me to go VR
Sony have just confirmed Europe will be getting the price cut shortly, previous years this has been done around black friday
