I like Tim (played footy with him as a kid) and i also have a few mates who support Villa.
I honestly hope that things work out for you
Agreed Andy. He is one for the future and when he gets good Villa won't be the attractive club for him then.
Why people are wanting Moyes in ASAP are a contradiction to them wanting Sherwood sacked there win rate this season is the same with 1 win in the league each.
Harry isn't getting any younger and would certainly be short term.
Who else can we actually have that's going to make us better than we are?
We have a load of young, somewhat inexperienced, but very promising youngsters, just set up for playing positive attacking football. What we need is a young, bright enthusiastic manager who believes in playing positive attacking football. OK it won't gel overnight but we'll be patient and give him time. Now who can that be.......oh
Come on, we don't want the boring safe stuff. We don't want a Pulis or an Allerdyce, even though in their way they are good managers. If you want to get exciting football you have to take risks, real risks. We have to stick with this.
Seen team I think:
Amavi on the bench Richardson playing.
No Clark Still.
Gil on the bench, and veretout not even in squad.
Hope the cockney fraudster is gone by 5pm today, what a facking joke of a manager he is

"Lets try our best to get Moyes in.". On past experience, can we have any faith in Villa getting in Moyes or anybody of that ilk?
Nope Moyes has snubbed us before Rodgers wont do it god knows who if it happens comes in.
Chuckle Brothers in with a shout

Pearson would be my guess.....or Dim will stay and save Villa a shed load of compo.
Today was all so predictable the moment Dim Tim announced to the world that he 'promises' Villa would win.
He never learns.
Yep Heisenberg.....
And escalated once the team was announced.
Why the feckin hell did Richardson play? Why are Veretout and Kozak not in squad.
Grealish is overrated
Grealish is a young lad with a lot of weight on his inexperienced shoulders.

I know Heisenberg im just annoyed the way the club is run.
The players who could really improve Villa aren't playing. I'm not sure I agree with Kozak, but Traore, Veretout, Okore, Clark and Sanchez should be playing regularly. We spent a good part of £50 million in the summer and a large amount of that money (at least half) has been spent on players who don't play.
Losing Benteke was a big blow as he scored most of our goals, but when pundits talk of Villa losing their best players and deserving to go down is ridiculous. Southampton lost probably more key players than us (four or five from what I recall) and actually IMPROVED the following season, so much so that they were battling for the top four last season. I agree losing Benteke was bad, but losing Delph(lots of energy, not many goals/assists), Cleverley (decent at the end of the season, hopeless for most of it) and Vlaar (injured for almost all the season) is not what has caused this slump. Even Benteke's loss was good to an extent as we got at least £10 million to much for him.
Sherwood is too stupid to win games, let's face it. We need a manager who will trust and nurture good young players like Veretout, Okore, Ilori ,, Amavi and Traore, not exclude them in favour of poor players like Bacuna, Westwood, Lescott and Gestede. We also need a manager who knows how to see out games and tactically out-think opponents. Villa have battled time and time and time again with relegation, it has been so stressful and depressing watching this team for the last five years. I can imagine suicide has gone up among Villa supporters in that time.
If after six straight defeats Sherwood doesn't lose his job I will just despair for this club.

Doomed, I tell thee, you're doomed !
😄
You can have Pulis with the greatest of pleasure.
Dispair for this club? The club's the problem, or at least those who own/run it are. The summer strategy sounded attractive; get in young talented players who can be the bedrock of this club in the medium term. Trouble is, they've taken a huge, huge risk with the short term. We are where we are because we needed to get in at least a couple of marque signings, of whom a class striker would have been one, but we didn't because that wasn't part of the strategy; i.e. Lerner wouldn't cough up the money.
And that, fellow Villans, is where we are now. And where we'll stay, at huge risk of descending further, while Lerner owns this club. That applies whether Tim stays or goes; those who think Moyes will come in and we'll sail up the table are living in cloud cuckoo land. Moyes might come in and save us from the drop, then so might Tim.
What should happen? I'd treat Southampton like a pre-season (it doesn't matter, relatively speaking) and use it to make sure those players who've missed out, whether they were injured or whatever, make it back in. That includes Clark, Okore, Veretout, Sinclair, Gil and maybe others. And just go for it. After that, the whole squad has game time under its belt, and Tim can truly pick his best squad. That means changing our leaky defence for a start. We're expected to lose against Spurs/City/Everton anyway so there's no point in playing safe. We have to go all out, and stop worrying about risk.
Tim? If he'd do something on the above lines I'd give him at least those matches and see what turns up. We've nothing to lose.
Anyway, I'm sure our good friend Chronic will see we're OK Monday week

i feel a bit sorry for villa at the moment. i don't like villa at all, but sherwood is such a massive caaaant that i actually feel sorry for you a bit
several of you seemed to be duped by him last season with the customary new manager bounce, and now you are seeing that he hasn't got a clue.
We are 8th ffs baggieman. Get a grip
So Dim Tim didn't have '2 games to save his job' then?
Where does this sort of stuff start?
