Nev, just to clarify what you're saying here: Are you saying that you can no longer get Radio Leicester commentary out in the desert? Or are you saying more that this new show is a concerning move in that direction?
No i can't get Radio leicester match commentry on the clubs fox player if you want to listen to RL out of the region you need to listen to the iplayer.
Now the club has brought it in house so i can listen on line to the 2-3pm build up but not the commentary which is the reason i pay for it now i have to listen what last week was laughably amateur.

Ah, I see what you mean (I think) : Previously you could get the Radio Leicester commentary through Foxes Player (what with Radio Leicester not having the rights for broadcast of live sport internationally) but now they've replaced that with their own commentary service.
If I'm understanding that right, I think it might be worth you firing off an email to the club to clarify the situation. (I'd advise keeping it polite and positive, along the lines of "I enjoy Radio Leicester's commentary" rather than "Yours was wet and biased".) It'd be a great shame if Leicester City were moving away from Radio Leicester's matchday coverage - particularly considering that the BBC is free to those who can receive it. However, I also wonder whether this development is down to a contractual or even legal inevitability.
Perhaps arro can ask his dad to find out more.
BBC pay for the rights to broadcast but online content is controled by the club its suited them to use the RL feed but according to my mate Stringy they want to try it for themselves. I only pay for the service to listen to RL. Out here i can go to any sports bar and watch the match and then listen into the moanin after.
So if it remains a substandard love fest then i just cancel my subsription if enough of us foxexcils do that then they may revert back but its a shame because it really its a link to my home and past that has been broken. For what seems a move to a LCFC media station controlling content and earning money from it
Foxy my socialist buddy should be up in arms.
Although i still think he's grieving for the labour party
<devil.
Just done some rudimentary arithmetic on this:
If they charge people 10p per day to sign up for this service, then 50,000 people sign up due to it being the only place they can get live commentary, that comes out as the best part of £2m per year.
Essentially, one can see why the club might be interested in going down this route. Frankly, all the more reason for you to fire off an email to them complimenting the Radio Leicester commentary and how sad you'd be to lose it.
Susan remember me oh yes now i do about this Radio rubbish is it the only way Logan could ever get on an Saturday?
I do fear this will be the way it goes. I've listened to RL match day since god were a lad and it's really annoying when you're away somewhere that can't access the FM frequency because the digital one doesn't broadcast it live
Yes i am in mourning like when Neville passed over to the other side (newspaper) more of past past goes the way of the future
Haha, I turned on RL in the kitchen and the first thing I heard was stringer talking about Elliott's hat!!!
I'd really hoped it was temporary. I listen to almost all the games on Foxes Player but this new commentary makes stringy look genius. Although.......
