"I was a season ticket holder for 10 years before I moved away. I've watched us under the Levein years, I've watched us under the Holloway relegation campaign and I never missed a match in league 1.

I was at 8 home games last season despite living 3 hours away."

To be fair BS, I'm not sure whether this makes you a fan or a masochist.

Cold wet Tuesday night BS?

Funny that, it was a Monday. And it wasn't cold or wet.

I know because I was ACTUALLY there.

Now run along and see who's tweating what about LCFC. And don't forget to come scampering back here and tell everyone you've unearthed some exclusive info, as usual.

Actually guys wasnt it a Sunday...? Anyway it was on Sky and it was a great moment.

Bank holiday Monday at Easter? Which would have felt like a Sunday.

For 3 bonus points, who put in the cross?

I'll hazard a guess and say your beloved Andy King.

No I reckon it was Bournemouth's injured winner.

Went straight home and watched it again. Pearson heads it in himself on the sidelines in the days BO (before Ostrich)

The League Cup, or 'Mickey Mouse' Cup as it is affectionately known as, seems to have the same effect on most clubs fans. The default setting is if you lose then it's 'only' the LC. If you win then it's a step closer to a Wembley day out and winning something.
I would have thought a club the size of Lesta with European aspirations (or, at least, arro has Euro aspirations), would have seen this as a far easier route to the Europa League than trying to finish above Spurs.

the thing is that spurs fans were angry at poch for naming a weakened side in the last round - and we went out.... meanwhile lesta seem to think that the league cup is beneath them

dizzy heights of the top half of the prem must have gone to their heads

Three points for CDUBYA!

Your additional bonus prize is the respect gained by people now being certain that you were there.

That famous big Steve goal was definitely on a warm sunny Easter Monday afternoon. It was in the kop anyway

“the thing is that spurs fans were angry at poch for naming a weakened side in the last round - and we went out.... meanwhile lesta seem to think that the league cup is beneath them”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That’s possibly because Spurs fans are all too aware that it’s one of only two trophies they are likely to win in the foreseeable future. Personally I think that wanting “Silverware” rather than being paranoid about your Premier League status shows a big club mentally that Leicester (or Lesta if you prefer) haven’t yet developed. Unsurprising really when you consider that we are still relatively new in the top flight.

“You and Joby can feck right off on your high horses - we're all equals here pal, even if our opinions differ”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting contradiction there Blackstarr. You imply that we should respect each other and other’s opinions, but if we don’t agree with you then we can f right off? Hmmmm….

Fair enough CDUBYA, although I think I'll stick around for the show. Or throw out the word "morons" in no particular direction and see who reacts to it. My guess is the Spurs fan.

I take your Craig Levein years and raise your the David Pleat era.

That makes me a hardy, dedicated super fan. He may not have taken us to our lowest league position, but boy I felt he took us to our lowest point as a club!!!

All the more reason to enjoy our current rise. It's mega.

Monday night then, I can't remember the exact day, only that it was a mid week game. And I was freezing.

I'm sorry fox 14, but to somehow diminish my loyalty to the club and suggest I'm some kind of armchair fan because I disagree with you over the league cup is so fecking arrogant its untrue.

By all means, disagree with me, but don't question my support for the club beCause I don't hold the same opinion you do - how fecking rude is that??

And Joby, I'm telling you to fack right off cos you have no right to attack my opinions because they're different to yours. Whilst I wouldn't expect any different from a third rate wum like fox14, I'm slightly surprised you've got yourself involved. You're normally a pretty sensible poster

Be brave enough to call me that yourself Blackstar and don't hide behind other people's words.

And don't pick a fight with me little boy because you will lose. Badly.

Maybe I joined the wrong forum!

At any rate I was disappointed for several reasons but largely because I believed the team we put out could win it even before the subs and was convinced we'd win after the 3 changes.
