Sigur Ros - Illgresi
----------------------------------------------------------------------
hello
I am looking to get into Sigur Ros
could u recommend a good starting place...album?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sigur Ros's greatest hits
Depends what you're looking for 4za
I think Valtari is my favourite, it's quite slow and sad
Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust is a bit more upbeat and poppy
Takk... has probably their best known songs
Kveikur sounds a bit more heavy and industrial

Med Sud or whatever it is called would certainly be a great starting point but it doesn't really show the side of Ros people love although it is my fourth favorite album by them and it's brilliant! () is a good place to start or maybeTakk.Agaetis took me a while but it later became my favorite
And on GoT....so 1 for 2 I guess
Been following them since Agaetis so just listened to them as the were released.
The second half of Med Sud is anything but upbeat and poppy too. The track I posted there is very melancholic

More guitar early on I'd say...which is why I recommended what I did. ( ) is very piano driven though.
Varies, but some albums are more focused on one instrument
Very very lucky bustud then! Discovered them at the beginning of this year and some months ago I would listen to nothing
for weeks. It is rare I am floord by a bands work like that
